The winner of Tuesday's matchup between Hartford (7-12, 4-2 AE) and Vermont (14-5, 5-2 AE) will own second place in the conference standings.
- Vermont, winner in seven of its last nine games, has won nine straight and 16 of the last 17 in the series.
- The Catamounts' bench outscored Binghamton's, 25-9, and was paced by Luke Apfeld's 13 points and eight rebounds in a 70-52 win Sunday.
- Hartford, winner in five of its last seven games, trailed by 16 points with under 12 minutes left in the second half against Boston U. Saturday, but stormed back to earn its fifth win in seven games.
- The Hawks' 4-2 America East starts is their best since the 2007-08 season.
- Hartford ranks 17th nationally in 3-point field goals per game (8.7) and turnover margin (+4.1) and also leads America East in steals (7.9 spg).
- Vermont has dominated the boards this season, ranking 30th nationally as a team in rebound margin (+6.2). Freshman Brian Voelkel ranks 22nd individually, pulling down 10.0 boards per contest.
- UVM's RPI (80) is the highest in the conference.

Old rivals New Hampshire (8-11, 2-5 AE) and Maine (12-7, 6-1 AE) meet for the 175th time Tuesday in Orono. The Black Bears hold a 111-63 edge and have won 12 of the last 16 get togethers.
- UNH scored a season-high 80 points Sunday against UMBC and won for just the second time in eight games.
- The Wildcats shot 51 percent from the floor, just the third time this season they've eclipsed the 50 percent mark as a team.
- Senior Tyrone Conley contributed a brilliant performance with 22 points, six rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, two steals and zero turnovers.
- Maine converted 16 SBU turnovers into 18 points and improved to 6-1 in league play Saturday.
The Black Bears, who average a league-best 70 points per game, have won five straight games and 10 of their last 12.
- UNH ranks 33rd nationally, holding opponents to just 61.3 points per game.
- Maine is shooting a league-best 46.3 percent from the field and holding opponents to 39.6 percent.

at New Hampshire 80, UMBC 60 -- Box Score
- New
Hampshire (8-11, 2-5 in America East) shot 51.0 percent from the field,
including 51.9 percent from beyond the arc, while holding UMBC (3-17,
2-5 AE) to 36.7 percent on its field goal attempts.
- The
Wildcats shot 14-for-27 from long range, led by senior guard Tyrone
Conley, who hit six of 11 attempts, and sophomore guard Chandler Rhoads,
who went a perfect 4-for-4 on his threes.
- Conley
led the Wildcats with 22 points to go along with six rebounds and seven
assists. Junior forward Brian Benson added 15 points while pulling down
a game-high 16 rebounds.
- Junior
guard Chris De La Rosa scored 23 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished
out seven assists and recorded three steals for UMBC. De La Rosa was the
only Retriever to score in double figures.
Vermont 70, at Binghamton 52 -- Box Score
- Vermont (14-5, 5-2 AE) ended the game on a 16-3 run over the final five minutes to win going away at Binghamton (6-14, 3-4 AE).
- The
Catamount defense held Binghamton to 34.6 percent shooting from the
floor, including 27.8 percent (4-for-18) from long range. Vermont shot
44.6 percent from the field.
- The Catamounts scored 16 points off of 16 Binghamton turnovers. The Catamounts gave the ball away 11 times.
- Freshman forward Luke Apfeld scored 13 points to lead a Vermont bench that scored 26 points. Sophomore guard Brendan Bald also scored 13 points while senior forward Evan Fjeld added 12.
- The
Bearcats were led by senior forward Mahamoud Jabbi with 13 points and
10 boards, five of which came on the offensive glass. Junior center
Kyrie Sutton and senior guard Moussa Camara each added 10 points.
