*at UMBC 67, Hartford 60 (2 OT) -- Boxscore
- UMBC (10-9, 4-2 in America East) outscored Hartford (6-13, 3-3 AE), 8-1, in the second overtime, holding the Hawks without a field goal (0-for-10) in the five-minute period.
- For the game, the Retriever defense held the Hawks to 30.3 percent shooting from the field. The UMBC offense hit 47.1 percent of its field goal attempts.
- UMBC connected on 18 of its 25 free throw attempts. Hartford went 9-for-12 from the line.
- UMBC junior center Tope Obajolu had team highs with 20 points, five assists and four blocks while grabbing eight rebounds. Junior guard Michelle Kurowski poured in 18 points and pulled down nine boards while senior forward Meghan Colabella added 11 points, six rebounds and four blocks.
- Hartford was led by sophomore guard Daphne Elliott, who scored 17 points while hitting five three-pointers. Senior guard Jackie Smith added nine points and a game-high six assists.
*at Vermont 57, Maine 48 -- Boxscore
- Senior forward Tonya Young scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Vermont (2-17, 2-4 AE) to a win over Maine (3-15, 1-5 AE). The win at Patrick Gym is the second straight home win for the Catamounts.
- Vermont attempted 34 free throws, hitting 23 of those attempts. Maine went just 6-for-14 from the line.
- Vermont sophomore forward/center Lauren Bucshmann scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while sophomore guard/forward Lauren Wheeler added 13 points and nine rebounds in the win.
- Despite the loss, the Black Bear defense held Vermont to only 25.4 percent shooting from the field.
- Maine freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts scored a game-high 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.
*Boston U. 82, at Stony Brook 65 -- Boxscore
- Boston
University (9-9, 6-0 AE) forced 22 turnovers and recorded 14
steals to beat Stony Brook (3-15, 0-6 AE) on the road.
- The Terriers
hit 50.9 percent of their shots from the field, including 60.7 percent
in the second half. The Seawolves shot at a .434 clip for the game.
- Sophomore
guard Chanell Alford scored a game-high 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting
and notched five steals to lead the Terriers. Senior center Kerry
Cashman added 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds in 38 minutes of
action.
- The
Seawolves were led by senior forward Kirsten Jeter, who scored 17 points
on 8-of-13 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Stony Brook junior center
Destiny Jacobs added 17 points and six rebounds in the loss.
*at Binghamton 50, Albany 44 -- Boxscore
- Sophomore forward Kara Elofson scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Binghamton (12-7, 5-1 AE) to a hard-fought home win over Albany (11-8, 4-2 AE).
- The Bearcats limited Albany to only 27.7 percent shooting from the field and just 16.7 percent on 4-of-24 shooting from beyond the arc.
- Binghamton freshman guard Jasbriell Swain added 12 points and five rebounds, while senior guard Jackie Ward scored 10 points in the win.
- Albany sophomore forward Ebone Henry scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Great Danes. Junior guard Felicia Johnson scored a team-high 13 points in the loss.
