Maine 72, At Vermont 58- Box Score

  • Maine (11-7, 5-1 America East) earned its first road win at Vermont (12-5, 3-2 America East) since the 2006-07 season, pulling off the impressive 72-58 victory at Patrick Gym.
  • Maine junior guard Gerald McLemore became the 29th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career. McLemore scored 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting in the win.
  • Senior forward Troy Barnies led the Black Bears with 14 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes of action.
  • The Black Bears delivered on the defensive end, limiting Vermont to only 35.8 percent shooting from the field.
  • Vermont senior forward Evan Fjeld scored a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.
