STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The 2010-11 season of America East television continues Monday when Stony Brook and Albany meet in men's basketball action on Long Island.

The Seawolves and Great Danes will tip off at a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day start time of 5 p.m. at Pritchard Gym. The game will be televised on MSG-Plus for those in the tri-state area with Eric Frede (play-by-play) and Frank Sullivan (analyst) on the call. All season long, games will also be available for viewing to ESPN Full Court subscribers and Dueon ESPN3.com (subject to local  blackout). Due to technical difficulties, tonight's game will not be streamed at AmericaEast.com.

Stony Brook (7-9, 2-2 AE) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 64-60 double-overtime win over New Hampshire Saturday. Senior guard Bryan Dougher paces the Seawolves with 12.9 points per game, which ranks 13th among conference leaders. Sophomore Marcus Rouse scored a team-high 14 points and has reached twin figures in five of his last seven outings.

Albany (8-12, 1-4 AE) surrendered a 16-point halftime lead and fell to Boston University at home, 70-67. The loss was the Great Danes' fourth straight and sixth in their last seven games. Senior guard Tim Ambrose scored a team-best 18 points and ranks fourth among league leaders this season averaging 17.2 points per game.

These SUNY rivals are meeting for the 53rd time with Albany holding a 33-19 edge. However, Stony Brook has a slim 13-11 edge since the programs moved to Division I and has won five straight in the series. The Seawolves beat the Great Danes three times last year, including a 68-59 win in the quarterfinals of the 2010 America East Championship. The two regular-season meetings were decided by a total of eight points.

The three-point line will likely play a key factor in Monday's game. The Great Danes shoot a league-best 37.4 percent from the beyond the arc, while Stony Brook's holds opponents to a conference-low 27.8 percent clip from deep.

Monday's game is the third of 15 America East regular-season contests that will be televised regionally this year. In addition, the semifinals of the America East men's and women's championship and the women's title game will be aired. Check out the full schedule.
