Albany at San Diego, 10 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video
Albany (4-2-0) goes for a west coast weekend swing as it travels to southern California to take on the San Diego Toreros (1-3-1) in the 2010 Nike Classic.
The Great Danes are off to a fast start after going all of last season without a win. They head into the weekend tournament having won their last two games by identical 1-0 scores. Most recently, Albany shut out Hartwick on the road, Sept. 18. Senior forward Bo Jelovac netted the gamewinner in the win over Hartwick. He is tied with junior midfielder Anthony DeSalvo for the team lead in goals with two.
The Great Danes will finish play in the Nike Classic with a match against San Diego State on Sunday.
Stony Brook vs. No. 21 Harvard, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video
Stony Brook (4-4-0) puts its three-game winning streak on the line as it hosts No. 21 Harvard (2-1-2) Friday night.
The Seawolves appear to have righted the ferry, winning their last three matches after starting the season 1-4. The recent success has coincided with the scoring outburst by reigning America East Player of the Week Leonardo Fernandes. The sophomore midfielder has scored three goals in the last two matches, including both goals in a 2-1 win over Bryant last Sunday.
The Seawolves will need that offensive punch against the Crimson. In last year's meeting between these two clubs, Harvard rolled over Stony Brook, 4-1.
After Harvard, the Seawolves will host Quinnipiac on Sunday.
Boston U. vs. Rhode Island, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video | Live Audio
Boston U. (3-3-1) will try to recover from its recent woes as it welcomes Rhode Island (4-4-0) to Nickerson Field.
The Terriers have lost their last three games by a combined score of 8-1. Two of those losses, a 2-1 loss to No. 15 St. John's and a 4-0 loss to No. 5 Boston College, were against ranked opponents. The Terriers have not been able to find the net in their last two matches despite taking 31 combined shots in those matches.
Boston U. will try to get back on track against the Rams, a team they beat last season, 2-1. Senior forward Aaron O'Neal scored both Terrier goals in the win.
After the Rhode Island game, the Terriers will match up against No. 21 Harvard on Sunday.
