Maine 3, Rhode Island 2 -- Box Score
A two-goal performance by senior midfielder Kelsey Wilson helped Maine (3-3-0) overcome a 2-1 deficit in the second half to defeat Rhode Island on the road, 3-2.
Maine grabbed a lead in the first half on Wilson's first goal of the game and third of the season. Wilson's goal, coming in the 22nd minute, was assisted by freshman midfielder Nikki Misener.
Rhode Island struck back in the first half. Sopomore forward Torey Hart took a cross from senior midfielder Kaylen Shimoda and put it in the back of the net to tie the score, 1-1, in the 31st minute. Three minutes later, the Rams took a 2-1 lead when junior forward Stephanie Santos scored on a breakaway.
Trailing 2-1 in the second half, junior forward Carolyne Nellis tied the game for the Black Bears, 2-2, in the 55th minute. Junior defender Sady Tobin recorded the assist.
Wilson then scored again, her fourth of the season, in the 69th minute. The goal put Maine ahead, 3-2, and proved to be the gamewinner. Senior forward Hannah Breton assisted on the goal.
Hartford 1, Fairleigh Dickinson 0 -- Box Score
A first-half goal and a strong defensive performance propelled Hartford (2-5-0) past Fairleigh Dickinson on the road.
Hartford freshman defender Nicole Weil scored an unassisted goal in the 22nd minute. The one goal proved to be enough for the Hawks, who went on to win, 1-0.
Junior keeper Lauren Brodeur got earned the shutout, needing to make only one save in the match. The Hartford defense allowed just two shots in the match, with the one shot on goal coming in the first half.
Offensively, Hartford took 10 shots, five of which were on goal.
Syracuse 4, Binghamton 0 -- Box Score
A second-half scoring outburst by Syracuse downed Binghamton (2-4-0) on the road.
The Bearcats held Syracuse without a goal through the first 67 minutes of the match. However, four Orange goals in the last 33 minutes led to a 4-0 loss for Binghamton.
Senior forward Megan Bellingham scored her third goal of the season in the 68th minute. That goal was followed by sophomore midfielder Brielle Heitman's goal in the 70th minute. Heitman added another goal, her fourth of the season, in the 83rd minute, ballooning the lead to 3-0. Sophomore defender Patricia Lind capped the scoring in the 89th minute with her first goal of the year.
Binghamton mustered only three shots on the afternoon, giving up 16 shots, 10 on goal, to Syracuse.
No. 12 Virginia 3, Boston U. 0 -- Box Score
Boston University (3-5-0) continued its grueling non-conference schedule, this time coming up short on the road at Virginia, 3-0.
The Terriers did not give up a goal in the first half. However, in the second half, the Cavalier offense woke up, scoring three times.
Senior midfielder Sinead Farrelly led the scoring attack for Virginia, scoring her fifth and sixth goals of the season. Farrelley scored in the 56th and 73rd minute. Her two goals bookended a goal in the 58th minute by sophomore forward Caroline Miller.
The Terriers were outshot, 23-6, in the match. Eight of the Cavalier shots were on goal. Junior forward Tiya Gallegos paced the Terriers, taking three shots on the afternoon.
Siena 3, New Hampshire 0 -- Box Score
New Hampshire (2-3-2) gave up an early goal and was not able to recover, falling at home, 3-0, to Siena.
The Saints got on the board in the 17th minute, going up 1-0, on a goal by freshman forward Brittany Pfaff. Senior midfielder Tabitha Tice and junior forward Ashleigh Barone combined to assist on the goal.
Siena added two goals in the second half, one from Lindsay Tegas in the 75th minute, the other from Barone in the 88th minute. Barone had a hand in each of the goals, scoring one and assisting on the other two.
New Hampshire did challenge the Saints offensively, with junior forward Jordyn Krall taking four shots, two on goal, and sophomore midfielder Monique Lamotte taking three shots, one on goal.
Columbia 3, Stony Brook 0 -- Box Score
Stony Brook (0-6-1) surrendered two first-half goals to host Columbia en route to a 3-0 loss.
Columbia got on the board in the 19th minute when freshman defender Chelsea Ryan scored on a pass from senior defender Kelly Hostetler. Hostetler assisted on another goal in the 42nd minute, this one scored by senior forward Keri Nobil, giving Columbia a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
Columbia scored one more time in the second half. Junior forward Marissa Schultz scored in the 76th minute, putting Columbia ahead, 3-0.
Stony Brook kept the shot attempts fairly even, taking 12 shots compared to 14 for Columbia. Three Stony Brook shots were on goal. Sophomore midfielder Sa'sha Kershaw took three shots for the Seawolves.
Army 3, Vermont 0 -- Box Score
Falling into a two-goal deficit in the first half, Vermont (1-4-0) was unable to muster a comeback, losing on the road at Army, 3-0.
Army took the lead midway through the first half when senior midfielder Kelley Robbins scored her first goal of the season in the 27th minute. The goal was assisted by freshman defender Ruthie Rosenberger. Just one minute later, Army struck again, this time with an unassisted goal from freshman midfielder Joey Molacek. The goal put Army up, 2-0, for the duration of the half.
Army added another goal in the second half, an unassisted goal by freshman midfielder Kim An, her fifth goal of the season.
The Catamounts seemed to be on defense for most of the game, surrenduring 26 shots, 10 of which were on goal. Catamount sophomore keeper Alyssa Kelly recorded seven saves in the match.
