Vermont 4, Presbyterian 0 -- Box Score ; Highlights
The Vermont Catamounts (3-1-0) jumped all over Presbyterian in their opening match of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Nike Fall Classic in Burlington, Vt., thumping the Blue Hose, 4-0.
Junior forward Nick O'Neill put Vermont on the board early, 1-0, in the second minute of the game, scoring on a pass from senior midfielder Kyle Luetkehans. The Catamounts scored once more in the first half, on a goal by senior midfielder Connor O'Brien in the 39th minute. The goal, assisted by senior forward Juan Peralta, put Vermont ahead, 2-0, at halftime.
In the second half, O'Neill scored his second goal of the game and fourth of the season on a pass from junior forward Zach Paul. The goal, coming in the 59th minute, put Vermont up, 3-0.
The Catamounts fourth and final goal of the match came in the 77th minute, scored on a header by freshman defender Scott Kisling, from Peralta and sophomore forward D.J. Elder.
O'Neill, in scoring the first goal of the match, has now scored the game-winning goal in each of Vermont's three wins this season.
Boston University 3, Seton Hall 1 -- Box Score
Boston University (3-0-1) was able to overcome an early one-goal defecit to defeat the Seton Hall Pirates, 3-1, and maintain its undefeated season.
Seton Hall took the early lead when senior midfielder Brayan Martinez scored his second goal of the season, making the score 1-0 in the 14th minute.
Later in the first half though, Boston U. junior forward Stephen Knox scored a goal to tie the game, 1-1. Knox's goal, coming in the 28th minute, was assisted by junior midfielder Ben Berube.
Neither team was able to break the tie until the 60th minute, when Boston U. senior forward Aaron O'Neal scored his fourth goal of the season, assisted by senior midfielder Ryan Shea. The Terriers added an insurance goal in the 65th minute off the foot of freshman midfielder Anthony Ciccone. Senior midfielder Ben Havey assisted on the goal.
New Hampshire 1, Cornell 1, OT -- Box Score
New Hampshire (1-0-2) worked to erase a one-goal, second-half defecit and earn a 1-1 tie against Cornell in the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Nike Fall Classic in Burlington, Vt.
The Wildcats, found themselves behind when Cornell junior forward Chase Aaronson scored an unassisted goal in the 36th minute.
Cornell held that lead into the 74th minute. However, the Wildcats were able to tie the game, 1-1, when senior back Joe Corsello scored a goal assisted by sophomore midfielderJosh Bronner and junior midfielder Brad Hilton.
The score remained a 1-1 tie throughout the rest of regulation and the two overtime periods.
With the draw, New Hampshire remains, along with Boston University, one of only two unbeaten teams in America East.
No. 11 Ohio State 1, Binghamton 0 -- Box Score
Binghamton (0-3-0) is still in search of its first win after falling, 1-0, to Ohio State Friday afternoon.
The lone goal in the game came in the 41st minute, when Ohio State senior forward Konrad Warzycha scored on a penalty kick, putting the Buckeyes ahead, 1-0, a score that would hold the rest of the game.
Binghamton was outshot, 16-9, in the match, but was able to muster six shots on goal. Sophomore forward Jake Keegan led the Bearcat attack, with four shots, two of which were on goal.
Holy Cross 3, Stony Brook 0 -- Box Score
Stony Brook (1-4-0) had a tough time finding its offense in its opening match of the Dartmouth Classic Tournament in Hanover, N.H., losing, 3-0, to Holy Cross.
Holy Cross senior midfielder Jon Werth scored a goal in the 22nd minute to put the Crusaders on top, 1-0. He was assisted by freshman forward Kevin O'Connell. Two and a half minutes later, Werth assisted on a goal by senior forward Kyle Miller, to put Holy Cross up, 2-0.
After the half, Holy Cross added a third goal, in the 56th minute, this time O'Connell scoring on a pass from Werth. The goal gave the Crusaders a 3-0 lead that they would protect.
Stony Brook actually outshot the Crusaders, 11-10. However, the Seawolves were unable to find the back of the net.

Saturday, September 11
Central Connecticut St. at Hartford, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video
Hartford will wrap up its three-game homestand when it welcomes Central Connecticut St. to Al-Marzook Field at Alumni Stadium.
The Hawks picked up their first win of the season with an impressive 2-0 shutout of Quinnipiac. After a scoreless first half, Hartford grabbed the lead in the 53rd minute, when junior midfielder Andrew Liapis scored the first goal of his career. The Hawks secured the victory in the 67th minute courtesy of a goal from sophomore midfielder James Stamopoulos. Junior goalkeeper Jordan Bar earned a shutout in his first appearance in a Hawks uniform, making two saves in the victory.
Following the visit from Central Connecticut St., Hartford will begin a three-game road trip with a visit to Queens, N.Y. to face No. 25 St. John’s.
UMBC at Navy, 8 p.m. -- Live Stats
The Retrievers will look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they pay a visit to Annapolis, Md. for a matchup with Navy.
After opening its season with two wins, UMBC fell 5-3 to Towson. The Retrievers were in an early 2-0 hole, as Towson scored two goals in the first 19 minutes. However, senior forward Levi Houapeu scored the first of his two goals to make the score 2-1. The Tigers pushed the lead to 4-1 heading into the final 15 minutes, but UMBC rallied with goals from junior forward Andrew Bulls and Houapeu to pull within one goal. That was the closest the Retrievers would get, as Towson responded with a goal on the counter-attack to secure the 5-3 victory. Houapeu is off to a tremendous start this season, having scored four goals in three games.
UMBC returns home on September 15 to take on La Salle.
