New Hampshire, Vermont Finish Among Directors' Cup Leaders

New Hampshire finished atop the America East Conference schools in the Learfield Sports NACDA Directors' Cup final standings, which were announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics at its annual convention in Anaheim, Calif.

UNH finished among the top five schools in the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) and 72nd overall among more than 370 Division I schools. The Wildcats' 260.50 points were the most in school history.

Vermont was second among America East schools and finished in the top 10 of Division I Subdivision schools. The Catamounts tallied 172 points, which ranked 101 among all Division I schools.

Boston University (118 among all Division I schools), Stony Brook (127), Binghamton (146), Maine (233) and Hartford (236) were others to place in the Directors' Cup, which awards points based on each institution's NCAA finish in up to 20 sports, 10 men's and 10 women's.

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today for NCAA Division I, II and III and the NAIA. Stanford won the 2009-10 Division I Directors' Cup for the 16th consecutive year.
