The 2010 America East women's lacrosse conference season officially gets underway this weekend as two league games are slated for Saturday, March 26. All six teams will play a five-game conference schedule, with the top regular-season finisher receiving the number one seed and hosting rights for the 2010 America East Women's Lacrosse Championship on May 6-8.
Getting things started is defending league champion Boston University (4-4 overall record) visiting Binghamton University (0-5) in Vestal on Saturday at noon. Vermont (2-5) and Albany (5-1) will tangle in Burlington for each team's conference opener on Wednesday, March 31 at 3 p.m. The Great Danes boast one of the most consistent players in the nation in senior Kayla Best, who owns the country's second-longest goal-scoring streak of 51 games.
