CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The men's bracket for the 2010 America East Men’s Basketball Championship is set and will feature an eight team field. The Championship, which will feature a combined men's and women's format for the first time in league history, will be played at University of Hartford's Chase Family Arena on March 4-7, with the title games to be played on March 13 at the higher remaining seeds.
The men's portion of the tournament gets underway on Saturday with No. 1 Stony Brook, which captured its first-ever regular-season crown, facing No. 8 Albany at 12 p.m. No. 4 Boston University, winner of a league best five crowns, takes on No. 5 Hartford at 2:15 p.m. to wrap up the day’s first session.
No. 2 Vermont and No. 7 UMBC will meet in the first game of the night session at 6 p.m, while No. 3 Maine and No. 6 New Hampshire will wrap up the day's action at 8:15 p.m. Free live video will be available for our contests at AmericaEast.tv, which will also provide live coverage of post-game press conferences.
The semifinals take place on Sunday, March 7 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Both semifinals will be televised on regional sports networks and will also be available on ESPN’s Full Court, ESPN 360 and streamed online at AmericaEast.com.
The title game will be held on the campus of the higher remaining seed on Saturday, March 13 at 12 p.m. and can be seen live on ESPN2.
