No. 18/21 BYU 86, Vermont 58- Box Score

  • Vermont saw its five-game winning streak come to an end with its 86-58 loss to No. 18/21 BYU in Glens Falls, N.Y.
  • Sophomore guard Brendan Bald played strong on the offensive end, scoring a team-high 14 points in the loss.
  • The Catamounts received a nice spark off the bench from senior guard Joey Accouai, who scored 12 points on 5-9 shooting from the field.
  • Vermont returns home to host Marist on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Sacred Heart 56, Hartford 55- Box Score

  • Hartford couldn't hold on to an 18-point second half lead, as the Hawks fell 56-55 to Sacred Heart in heartbreaking fashion.
  • The Hawks were led on the offensive end by senior guard Joe Zeglinski. Zeglinski scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed five boards in the loss.
  • Senior forward Morgan Sabia provided Hartford with a nice presence in the paint, scoring 13 points and pulling down a team-high seven rebounds.
  • The Hawks continue their five-game road trip with a visit to Monmouth on Saturday, Dec. 11.

Maine 68, Massachusetts 56- Box Score

  • Maine delivered its most impressive performance of the season, knocking off Massachusetts, 68-56.
  • The Black Bears used a strong effort on the defensive end of the court, limiting Massachusetts to only 29.5% shooting from the floor.
  • Junior guard Gerald McLemore led Maine on the offensive end, scoring a team-high 12 points in 28 minutes of action.
  • Maine begins a two-game homestand with a visit from Norfolk State on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Hofstra 89, Binghamton 85 (OT)- Box Score

  • Despite its best offensive performance of the season, Binghamton dropped its sixth straight game, falling 89-85 (OT) to Hofstra.
  • Senior guard Greer Wright proved to be unstoppable on the offensive end of the court, scoring a team-high 28 points, dishing out a team-high seven assists and pulling down five rebounds.
  • The Bearcats received a boost off the bench from sophomore guard Jimmy Gray, who scored 18 points on 6-11 shooting from the field.
  • Binghamton heads out on the road to face Manhattan on Saturday, Dec. 11.

Rider 81, UMBC 39- Box Score

  • UMBC couldn't overcome a poor offensive performance, as it fell 81-39 to Rider.
  • Graduate student forward Justin Fry gave the Retrievers a strong interior presence, scoring a team-high nine points and grabbing a team-high six rebounds.
  • UMBC received a boost off the bench from freshman forward Chase Plummer, who scored nine points and grabbed four boards in 17 minutes of action.
  • The Retrievers return home to host Towson on Saturday, Dec. 11.
