KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- For the second straight season, a Boston University women's soccer standout has been named an All-American. Senior Lisa Kevorkian received fourth-team All-America honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Friday, while five Terriers also received all-region honors.

Kevorkian, a first-team All-America East forward, paced the league with 35 points on 14 goals and seven assists this season. A transfer from Cal-Berkley, Kevorkian helped lead the Terriers to their fourth straight conference title and sixth straight NCAA tournament berth during her lone season in Boston. She is the 24th America East women's soccer player to earn All-America accolades from the NSCAA and second in as many years as Casey Brown received third-team accolades last season.

Also first-team All-Northeast Region choice, Kevorkian was joined by teammates Corie Halasz, Shauna Kelleher, Jessica Luscinski and Angelina Cords on that squad. Halasz, Kelleher and Luscinski, the America East Defender, Midfielder and Striker of the Year, respectively, were all second-team all-region honorees, while Cords garnered third-team honors. These five players played significant roles for a team that won 16 games and shut out 13 straight opponents, which is tied for the second longest streak in NCAA history.

Kevorkian is already the fifth America East student-athlete to receive All-America recognition this season. Maine's Kelly Newton and New Hampshire's Whitney Frates were honored in field hockey, while Stony Brook's Holly and Lucy van Dalen earned All-America status in cross country.
