at St. Joseph's 67, New Hampshire 66 -- Box Score

  • New Hampshire (2-8) took a 66-65 lead over St. Joseph's with 13 seconds remaining on a jumper by Lauren Wells, but Michelle Baker hit a layup with three seconds left to play to give St. Joseph's the win in the first game of the 20th annual Hawk Classic.
  • New Hampshire made two comebacks in the second half, overcoming a 10-point deficit to tie the game, 47-47, with 9:39 remaining and erasing an eight-point deficit to take the lead, 66-65, in the closing seconds.
  • The Wildcats shot 8-for-15 from behind the three-point line, but shot at a .348 clip from inside the arc. The Wildcat defense allowed St. Joseph's to shoot 47.4 percent from the field.
  • Center Jill McDonald led the Wildcats with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. Forward Denise Beliveau added 12 points while grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.

Boston U. at Richmond -- Postponed
  • Boston U.'s game at Richmond was postponed due to the snow in the northeast over the weekend. The game has not yet been rescheduled.
  • The Terriers' next game is scheduled for Friday, December 31, at Providence.
