Wednesday, December 22
Hartford at Hofstra (Fios1)    2 p.m.

  • The Hawks are well-rested after a 10-day lay-off as they enter an all-time series which they hold the 10-9 edge. The most recent meeting, in 2007, resulted in a 73-42 Hartford win.
  • Senior Jackie Smith and sophomore Alex Hall are the only two mainstays to the Hawks' starting lineup this year. Hartford has used five different starting fives this season.
  • Junior Illicia Mathis is third in the league with a .867 free-throw percentage, and is tops with a .435 three-point percentage.


Quinnipiac at New Hampshire    5 p.m.

  • The Wildcats and Bobcats have met just three times before. Quinnipiac took last year's meeting, 68-54.
  • Sophomore guard Cari Reed is having a breakout year with 8.6 ppg. and 3.6 rpg. She has seven double-figured scoring games in her career, five of them this season.
  • Junior forward Denise Beliveau got off to a slow start this season, but since has scored in double-digits in five straight games.


Albany at Fairfield    7 p.m.

  • The Great Danes, who play their second game in three days, won last year's matchup with the Stags, 63-52, just one day short of a year ago.
  • Sophomore guard Ebone Henry is among the league leaders in scoring (13.3 ppg), rebounds (7.3 rpg), and steals (2.6 spg).
  • After being held to just 25 rebounds each against Syracuse and Duke, the Great Danes have bounced back to record 42 and 45 rebounds in their last two games. Albany averages 38 rpg, second in the league.

At Stetson 76, Maine 70 - Boxscore

  • Freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts scored a career-high 17 points, leading five Black Bears in double-figured points.
  • Sophomore forward Corinne Wellington recorded the third double-double of her career with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Classmate guard Katelyn Vanderhoff also earned a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards to go along with six assists and three steals.
  • Maine outrebounded, 46-41, and outshot, .397-.367, Stetson.


UMBC 65, at Navy 56 - Boxscore

  • Trailing by six at halftime, UMBC used a late rally  and .607 second-half shooting to pull out the victory. It was the Retrievers' first road win this year.
  • Junior guard Michelle Kurowski led the Retrievers on the offensive end of the court, scoring a game-high 22 points in 39 minutes of action. She added five rebounds and a team-high six helpers as well.
  • UMBC received a strong boost off the bench from sophomore guard Kristin Coles, who scored 13 points and grabbed six boards in the win.


At No. 12/16 Michigan State 67, Vermont 33 - Boxscore

  • Sophomore forward/center Lauren Buschmann gave the Catamounts a strong performance in the paint, scoring eight points and grabbing four rebounds in the loss.
  • Lauren Wheeler matched Buschmann's team-high eight points, hitting two three-pointers, and collected three boards off the glass.
  • The Catamounts received a strong performance off the bench from junior guard/forward Ashley Hoyt, who scored seven points in 20 minutes of action.


At Old Dominion 71, Stony Brook 47 - Boxscore

  • Stony Brook couldn't dig its way back from a 21-point halftime deficit despite a much stronger second-half effort.
  • Junior guard/forward Whitney Davis came off the bench to score a career-high 13 points in only 13 minutes of action.
  • The Seawolves limited Old Dominion to only .333 shooting in the second half. Stony Brook also forced 28 Monarchs turnovers for the game.
