At Stetson 76, Maine 70- Box Score

  • Maine fell to its ninth consecutive loss, losing to Stetson 76-70 in the final game of the Hatter Classic.
  • Freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts continues to provide a strong presence on the offensive end, scoring a career-high 17 points in the loss.
  • Sophomore forward Corinne Wellington recorded the third double-double of her career, scoring 16 points and grabbing a team-high 11 boards.
  • The Black Bears will look to close out the non-conference portion of their schedule with a victory when they host Massachusetts on Wednesday, Dec. 29.

UMBC 65, at Navy 56- Box Score

  • UMBC used a late rally to pull out the key 65-56 victory at Navy.
  • Junior guard Michelle Kurowski led the Retrievers on the offensive end of the court, scoring a game-high 22 points in 39 minutes of action.
  • UMBC received a strong boost off the bench from sophomore guard Kristin Coles, who scored 13 points and grabbed six boards in the win.
  • The Retrievers close out the non-conference portion of their schedule when they host Loyola (MD) on Wednesday, Dec. 29.

At No. 12/16 Michigan State 67, Vermont 33- Box Score

  • Vermont dropped its 10th straight game to start the season, falling 67-33 at No. 12/16 Michigan State.
  • Sophomore forward/center Lauren Buschmann gave the Catamounts a strong performance in the paint, scoring eight points and grabbing four rebounds in the loss.
  • The Catamounts received a strong performance off the bench from junior guard/forward Ashley Hoyt, who scored seven points in 20 minutes of action.
  • Vermont returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 29., when it faces Wagner in the opening game of the Blue Sky Classic.

At Old Dominion 71, Stony Brook 47- Box Score

  • Stony Brook dropped its fifth consecutive game, falling 71-47 at Old Dominion.
  • Junior guard/forward Whitney Davis came off the bench to score a career-high 13 points in only 13 minutes of action.
  • The Seawolves delivered an excellent performance on the defensive end during the final 20 minutes of action, limiting Old Dominion to only 33 percent shooting.
  • Stony Brook closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a visit to St. Francis (NY) on Friday, Dec. 31.

Winthrop 54, Maine 51 (Hatter Classic) - Boxscore

  • Freshman guard Ashleigh Roberts put together the best effort of her young career, netting a career-high 16 points in the loss.
  • The Black Bears received a versatile performance from sophomore guard Katelyn Vanderhoff, who scored 11 points, grabbed a team-high seven boards and dished out a team-high five assists in 40 minutes of action.


Hofstra 90, at Albany 60 - Boxscore

  • In its first game since completing a six-game road trip, Albany struggled in the possession game, turning the ball over 27 times.
  • Sophomore forward Julie Forster delivered a dominant performance in the paint, scoring 10 points and pulling down a team-high 12 rebounds for the double-double.
  • Junior guard Felicia Johnson led the Great Danes on the offensive end of the court, scoring a team-high 16 points in the loss.
