Sunday, December 19
Stony Brook at Long Island    1 p.m.

  • The Seawolves stay on the island as they try to snap a three-game losing streak against the Black Birds. Stony Brook leads the all-time series, 3-2.
  • Senior Kirsten Jeter or sophomore Sam Landers have led the team in scoring  in each of the last six games. Jeter averages a team-best 11.4 ppg, while Landers is fourth with 9.2 ppg.


New Hampshire at Central Connecticut    1 p.m.

  • University of New Hampshire fell to the Blue Devils in last year's meeting, 48-60, but will round out its five-game road trip trying to get the win this year.
  • Junior forward Denise Beliveau is the only Wildcat averaging double-figure points with 11.5 ppg. Senior Jill McDonald paces the team on the boards with 5.9 rpg.


Vermont at Kent State    2 p.m.

  • The Catamounts are beginning a two-game midwest swing. UVM is 4-1 against Kent State in the all-time meeting, including a victory in the most-recent visit to Kent State in 2007.
  • Forward Lauren Buschmann hasn't had a sophomore slump as she's leading the Catamounts with 7.9 boards per game, good for fifth in the conference. She is also second on the team, scoring 7.5 ppg.

Binghamton 53, Mount Saint Mary's 39

  • The Bearcats put together a dominant performance on the defensive end of the court, limiting Mount Saint Mary's to only .241 shooting from the field.
  • Junior forward Viive Rebane gave the Bearcats a strong presence in the paint, scoring a team-high 18 points and grabbing a team-high nine rebounds.
  • Senior Jackie Ward led the team with four assists in 20 minutes of action from off the bench. She also swiped away one of the team's 11 steals.


Albany 63, Niagara 47

  • Albany put an end to this two-game losing streak with a dominant 63-47 road victory over Niagara.
  • Junior guard Cassandra Callaway led the Great Danes on the offensive end of the court, scoring a team-high 13 points in 35 minutes of action.
  • Sophomore forward Julie Forster gave Albany a physical effort in the frontcourt, scoring nine points and grabbing a team-high 14 rebounds. She also led the team with five helpers.


Virginia 61, UMBC 46

  • Junior guard Erin Brown showed her offensive versatility in the loss, scoring a team-high 16 points and grabbing six rebounds in the loss.
  • Sophomore guard Kristin Coles gave the Retrievers a nice boost off the bench, as she scored a career-high 11 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in 24 minutes of action.
  • UMBC shot .419 for the game, including .500 in the first half, while holding the Cavaliers to .368 shooting for the game.
