Binghamton 53, Mount Saint Mary's 39- Box Score

  • Binghamton picked up its third consecutive victory, knocking off Mount Saint Mary's, 53-39
  • The Bearcats put together a dominant performance on the defensive end of the court, limiting Mount Saint Mary's to only 24.1% shooting from the field.
  • Junior forward Viive Rebane gave the Bearcats a strong presence in the paint, scoring a team-high 18 points and grabbing a team-high nine rebounds.
  • The Bearcats return to action on December 29 when they begin their participation in the Monmouth Hawk Holiday Classic.

Albany 63, Niagara 47- Box Score

  • Albany put an end to this two-game losing streak with a dominant 63-47 road victory over Niagara.
  • Junior guard Cassandra Callaway led the Great Danes on the offensive end of the court, scoring a team-high 13 points in 35 minutes of action.
  • Sophomore forward Julie Forster gave Albany a physical effort in the frontcourt, scoring nine points and grabbing a team-high 14 rebounds.
  • The Great Danes return home to host Hofstra on Monday, Dec. 20.

Virginia 61, UMBC 46- Box Score

  • Despite a strong defensive effort, UMBC fell 61-46 at Virginia.
  • Junior guard Erin Brown showed her offensive versatility in the loss, scoring a team-high 16 points and grabbing six rebounds in the loss.
  • Sophomore guard Kristin Coles gave the Retrievers a nice boost off the bench, as she scored 11 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in 24 minutes of action.
  • UMBC finishes up its three-game road trip with a visit to Navy on Tuesday, Dec. 21.


Sunday, December 12
at Hartford 74, Dartmouth 43 - Boxscore

  • Sophomore Nikkia Smith led Hartford with a team-high 14 points, six boards and two steals. Senior guard Mary Silvia scored 13 points and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in the win.
  • The Hawks had their best possession game of the season, turning the ball over a season-low nine times, forcing Dartmouth into 21 turnovers, and swiping a season-high nine steals.
  • Hartford scored 45 of its points in the second half, shooting .621 (18-for-29).


at Penn State 95, Maine 41 - Boxscore

  • Guard Amber Smith scored in double-figures for the seventh time this season, netting a team-high 14 points in the loss. Rookie Ashleigh Roberts also scored in twin figures with 10 points.
  • The Black Bears received an excellent performance in the paint from sophomore center Corinne Wellington. Wellington scored five points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds in the loss.
  • Maine got to the charity stripe 24 times, converting on 20 free throws (.833).
