UMBC will try to snap a 16-game losing streak at RAC Arena Tuesday against American in a game that will be televised on MASN.
- Junior Chris De La Rosa scored 11 points and added five assists in UMBC's 59-57 win over American last season.
- De La Rosa leads America East with 6.6 assists per game and is tied for 10th nationally in that category.
- UMBC led Towson, 38-33, at the half Saturday, but allowed the Tigers to score 53 second-half points in the loss.

Maine picked up its second straight victory,
knocking off Norfolk State, 74-54.

The Black Bears received a huge boost off the
bench from senior guard Terrance Mitchell, who scored a team-high 22 points in
only 14 minutes of action.

Maine delivered a strong performance on the
defensive end of the court, limiting Norfolk State to only 40% shooting from
the field.

The Black Bears close out their two-game
homestand with a visit from Colgate on Sunday, Dec. 19.
Vermont 75, Marist 67- Box Score

Vermont remained undefeated at Patrick
Gymnasium, as the Catamounts pulled out an impressive 75-67 victory over
Marist.

Freshman forward Brian Voelkel delivered the
best performance of his young career, scoring a career-high 23 points and
pulling down a career-high 16 boards in the win.

Although he battled foul trouble throughout the
game, senior forward Evan Fjeld still gave the Catamounts a strong interior
presence in the win. Fjeld scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in only
16 minutes of action.

visit to Fairfield on Monday, Dec. 20.
