Saturday, December 11

Stony Brook at George Washington     2 p.m.

  • The Seawolves are playing their second road game in three days. The two programs have met twice before, with George Washington winning both, including the last meeting in 2006 when the Colonials were nationally-ranked.
  • Junior forward Destiny Jacobs has earned the start in the last three games because of her productivity this year. Jacobs is shooting at a .446 clip with 10.8 ppg and and team-high 7.6 rpg.

Binghamton at Massachusetts    4:30 p.m.

  • The Bearcats meet the Minutewomen in the two programs' first-ever meeting. UMass will meet three different America East programs this year, having recently visited Boston U. and traveling to play Maine later this season.
  • Junior forward Viive Rebane just needed time to get comfortable, as she has finally been able to produce as she knows how to in the last few games. Over the last two games, Rebane is averaging 18 ppg.

Boston U. at Marist    7:30 p.m.

  • The Terriers fell to the Red Foxes last year, 81-73, and are coming off a convincing win over UMass earlier this week. The all-time series is deadlocked at 3-3.
  • Senior center Kerry Cashman, who ranks second in America East with 1.6 bpg, recently joined the 300-block club and is one block away from entering the Boston U. top-10 blocked shot leaders.

Friday, December 10

Penn 69, Maine 48- Box Score

  • Maine couldn't overcome a poor offensive performance in the opening 20 minutes, as it fell 69-48 at Penn.
  • Redshirt-freshman forward Amber Smith led the Black Bears on the offensive end of the court, scoring a team-high 11 points in 29 minutes of action.
  • The Black Bears put together a strong defensive effort in the loss, holding Penn to only 40% shooting throughout the game.
  • Maine continues its six-game road trip with a visit to Penn State on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Temple 63, Hartford 45- Box Score

  • Hartford dropped its sixth consecutive game, falling 63-45 at Temple.
  • The Hawks couldn't find any consistency on the offensive end, as they hit only 34.6% of their shots from the field in the loss.
  • Freshman forward Nikkia Smith gave Hartford a strong presence in the paint, scoring 11 points and pulling down a team-high seven rebounds.
  • Hartford returns home to host Dartmouth on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Harvard 96, New Hampshire 63- Box Score

  • New Hampshire was unable to find away to slow down an efficient Harvard offense, as it fell 96-63 to the Crimson.
  • Redshirt-junior forward Denise Beliveau delivered an excellent performance on the offensive end, scoring team-high 16 points on 4-8 shooting from the field.
  • UNH received a boost off the bench from junior guard Lauren Wells, who scored 13 points in the loss.
  • The Wildcats close out their five-game road trip with a visit to Central Connecticut State on Sunday, Dec. 19.

No. 23 Maryland 71, UMBC 45- Box Score

  • UMBC saw its three-game winning streak come to an end, as the Retrievers fell 71-45 to intrastate-rival No. 23 Maryland.
  • As she has done throughout the season, junior guard Erin Brown gave UMBC an excellent scoring threat. Brown scored a team-high 14 points in 38 minutes of action.
  • Junior forward Tope Obajolu gave the Retrievers a strong interior performance, scoring 12 points and grabbing three rebounds.
  • UMBC continues its three-game road trip with a visit to Virginia on Saturday, Dec. 18.


Thursday, December 9
at #4 Duke 83, Albany 48 - Boxscore

  • Albany's offense shot .383 from the field while the defense allowed the Blue Devils to shoot at a .589 clip.
  • Junior guard Felicia Johnson led the way for the Great Danes, netting 18 points. Sophomore guard Ebone Henry joined Johnson in twin figures with 10 points.
  • The league's rebounding leader, sophomore Julie Forster, led the team on the boards with seven, while also chipping in six points and a steal.


at George Mason 74, Stony Brook 48 - Boxscore

  • The Seawolves committed 23 turnovers in the contest, leading to 30 points for the Patriots. Stony Brook scored just eight points off of 15 George Mason turnovers.
  • Senior forward Kirsten Jeter led the Seawolves with 11 points. Junior forward Destiny Jacobs fell just short of a double-double, scoring nine points and pulling down 10 boards.
