Sunday, November 28

Drexel 79, Binghamton 39- Box Score

  • Binghamton fell to its fourth consecutive loss, as the Bearcats couldn't overcome an early double-digit deficit in their 79-39 defeat against Drexel.
  • The Bearcats received a nice boost from freshman guard Robert Mansell, who scored a team-high 12 points in the loss.
  • Senior forward Mahamoud Jabbi provided a nice presence in the paint, scoring nine points and pulling down four rebounds.
  • The Bearcats begin a two-game homestand with a visit from Canisius on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Albany 56, Bowling Green 55- Box Score

  • Albany closed out its participation in the Legends Classic Subregional with a thrilling 56-55 victory over Bowling Green.
  • As he has done throughout the season, sophomore guard Logan Aronhalt led Albany on the offensive end. Aronhalt scored a team-high 18 points, including 12 in the second half, to help the Great Danes seal the win.
  • Senior guard Tim Ambrose put together a versatile performance, scoring 13 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out a team-high six assists in 38 minutes of action.
  • The Great Danes continue their five-game road trip with a visit to Siena on Saturday, Dec. 4.

 

Saturday, November 27
New Hampshire 70, Brown 66 -- Box Score

  • New Hampshire improved its record to 4-1 with an impressive 70-66 victory over Brown at Lundholm Gymnasium.
  • Senior forward/center Dane DiLiegro recorded his second double-double of the season, scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the win.
  • Since the injury to Alvin Abreu, senior guard Tyrone Conley has emerged as the top scoring option for the Wildcats. Conley scored 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting to help lead UNH to the win.
  • The Wildcats will face their biggest test so far this season when they head out on the road to face Connecticut on Tuesday, Nov. 30.


Boston U. 66, Cornell 61 -- Box Score

  • Boston U. (4-3) hosted Cornell and topped the Big Red, a Sweet 16 team last season, 66-61.
  • Junior guard Darryl Partin poured in a career-high 32 points to lead the Terrier attack. 30 of Partin's points came in the second half. Partin shot 10-of-14 from the field, including 5-of-6 from behind the arc.
  • Senior guard John Holland was the only other Boston U. player to reach double-figures, scoring 11 points.
  • Boston U. returns to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 30 for a matchup at Kentucky.

 
Albany 75, Niagara 65 -- Box Score

  • Albany (2-5) used a strong second-half performance by sophomore guard Logan Aronhalt to get past Niagara in the Legends Classic Subregional.
  • Aronhalt scored a career-high 30 points, including 17 consecutive Albany points during an 18-5 run that broke open a 14-point lead for the Great Danes. In that run, Aronhalt hit five straight three-point attempts.
  • Guard Mike Black again provided scoring punch off the bench, dropping 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from long range.


Vermont 69, NJIT 50 -- Box Score

  • Vermont continued its impressive start to the 2010-11 season, improving to 4-1 with its 69-50 victory over NJIT.
  • As he has done throughout the season, senior forward/center Evan Fjeld provided the Catamounts with a dominant presence in the post. Fjeld scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in the win.
  • Junior forward Matt Glass has combined with Fjeld to develop an excellent frontcourt duo for Vermont. Glass scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting to help the Catamounts earn the win.
  • The Catamounts continue their four-game homestand with a visit from Dartmouth on Wednesday, Dec. 1.


Fordham 61, Hartford 57 -- Box Score
  • Despite leading by 11 points with less than 10 minutes remaining in the second half, Hartford (1-4) could not hold on to the lead as it fell, 61-57, to Fordham.
  • Senior guard Joe Zeglinski led the Hawks on the offensive end, scoring a team-high 21 points on 7-17 shooting from the field.
  • Hartford also received a nice contribution from senior guard Milton Burton, who scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss.
  • The Hawks close out their two-game road trip with a visit to Yale on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

 

Duquesne 101, UMBC 69 -- Box Score

  • UMBC (0-5) is still searching for its first win of the season as it dropped a 101-69 decision on the road at Duquesne.
  • Junior guard Chris De La Rosa scored 14 points as he surpassed the 500-point mark during his UMBC career. Brian Neller also scored 14 points off the bench for the Retrievers.
  • The UMBC defense allowed Duquesne to shoot 55.6 percent from the field in the contest and 50.0 percent (11-for-22) from behind the arc. The Retrievers sent Duquesne to the line 43 times with Dukes hitting 30 of their attempts from the charity stripe.
