Detroit 84, Albany 82 (2 OT) -- Box Score

  • Albany guard Mike Black hit a three-pointer as time ran out in regulation to tie the game, 68-68, and force overtime against Detroit. At the end of the first overtime period, Billy Allen hit a three for the Great Danes to tie the score at 72-72 to force a second overtime. However, Albany (1-5) was unable to grab a lead in either overtime period, falling to the Titans, 84-82.
  • Senior guard Tim Ambrose scored a team-high 18 points as he moved into 19th place on the Albany all-time scoring list. Ambrose now has 1,149 career points. He also added eight rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals in 38 minutes before fouling out.
  • Five Great Danes, including Ambrose (18 points) and Black (13) reached double-figures in scoring. Logan Aronhalt dropped 16 points while Luke Devlin and Billy Allen scored  12 points each.
  • Devlin also grabbed 10 rebounds to earn a double-double.
