Vermont at Quinnipiac, 3 p.m. (NESN) -- Live Stats | Live Video | Vermont Radio

  • The Catamounts face the Bobcats on NESN Saturday.
  • Vermont has won 14 straight games against Northeast Conference foes, including an 80-77 win over Quinnipiac last season.
  • Vermont held a 36-33 advantage over UConn at the half, but could not hold on in the second half, giving up 53 points to the Huskies after the break Wednesday.
  • Senior forward Evan Fjeld led the Catamounts with 26 points on 10-for-18 shooting from the field. Through two games this season, Fjeld is averaging 22.5 points per game and is shooting 58.6 percent from the field.
  • Junior forward Matt Glass added 24 points in his second game for the Catamounts. Glass hit six three-pointers on the night.

Albany at Fairleigh Dickinson, 7 p.m.  -- Albany Radio

  • Albany will face Fairleigh Dickinson for the first time since 1959 Saturday.
  • Georgia Tech shot 55.6 percent in the first half against the Great Danes Wednesday and grew a 30-point halftime advantage en route to the win.
  • The game was part of the Legends Classic. Albany will face Detroit, Niagara and Bowling Green in the Legends Classic Detroit Subregional later this month. Albany hosted a subregional last year.
  • Senior guard Tim Ambrose led Albany with 16 points and became the 102nd player in league history to eclipse the 1,100 point barrier.

 

Central Conn. State at UMBC, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video | UMBC Radio

  • The Retrievers return home to face Central Conn. State Saturday. The Blue Devils hold a slight 16-15 edge in the all-time series. 
  • Four UMBC players scored in double figures, but the Retrievers were unable to keep up with in-state rival Loyola Wednesday.
  • Travis King scored a career-high 22 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field.
  • Laurence Jolicoeur added 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds. He's tied for the league lead averaging 9.5 rebounds per contest.

Holy Cross at New Hampshire, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video | UNH Radio

  • UNH is in search of its first 3-0 start since 1971 when it returns home to face Holy Cross Saturday.
  • Dane DiLiegro's putback layup with just 1,5 seconds remainging completed UNH's 17-point, second-half comeback against the Dartmouth Tuesday.
  • The Wildcats trailed 40-23 with just over 15 minutes left in the game but outscored Dartmouth 32-13 the rest of the way.
  • Tyrone Conley led UNH with 18 points, while DiLiegro had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Maine 95, Maine-Machias 44 -- Box Score

  • Maine opened up the home portion of its schedule with a dominant 95-44 victory over intrastate rival Maine-Machias.
  • Sophomore forward Murphy Burnatowski continued his excellent offensive play this season, scoring a team-high 17 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting from the field.
  • After missing the first two games because of injury, senior forward Sean McNally made his return to the lineup. McNally contributed 13 points and two rebounds in only 18 minutes of action.
  • The Black Bears head out on the road for a difficult matchup with Notre Dame on Monday, Nov. 22.

Boston University 58, Marist 37 -- Box Score

  • After opening the season with three games on the road, Boston University kicked off the home portion of its schedule with a 58-37 win over Marist.
  • Junior guard Matt Griffin came off the bench to lead the Terriers on the offensive end. Griffin shot 7-7 from the field, including 5-5 from behind the three-point line, to lead Boston U. with 21 points.
  • The Terriers were excellent on the defensive end of the court, limiting Marist to 26.7% shooting from the field.
  • Boston University closes out its participation in the Dick's Sporting Goods Preseason NIT with two games in Washington, D.C. The Terriers face Hampton on Nov. 22 and Nevada on Nov. 23.

Dartmouth 71, Hartford 57 -- Box Score

  • Hartford dropped its third straight game to open the 2010-11 season, falling 71-57 to Dartmouth at The Chase Family Arena.
  • Senior forward Morgan Sabia came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points on 5-12 shooting and also grabbed six rebounds.
  • Although he struggled with his shooting from the perimeter, senior guard Joe Zeglinski delivered a strong performance. Zeglinski scored 12 points, pulled down five rebounds and dished out a team-high four assists in the loss.
  • The Hawks close out their two-game homestand with a visit from St. Francis (PA) on Wednesday, Nov. 24
