Upcoming Action

Saturday, November 20
Providence at Hartford    2 p.m.

  • The Hawks will not only be looking for their first win of the season, but they'll also be trying to avenge last year's 59-66 loss at Providence.
  • Sophomores Daphne Elliott and Alex Hall are averaging 8.5 ppg through the first two games, while senior Mary Silvia clocks in with 8.0 ppg.

Binghamton at Rider    2 p.m.

  • The Bearcats hit the road to start a new all-time series with Rider. America East teams are 2-1 against MAAC opponents this season.
  • Binghamton has had no lack of offense this year so far. Preseason all-conference pick Andrea Holmes is averaging 21.5 ppg, including a 28-point in Tuesday's home opener, and rookie Jasbriell Swain has 16.5 ppg on the young season.

Boston College at Vermont (TD Bank Classic)    3 p.m.

  • Boston College already has two wins against America East programs, victories over Boston U. and Hartford to open the season.
  • Despite not putting a lot of points up on the board this season, the Catamounts have been shooting at a .336 clip from the floor. They also have a positive (+1.0) rebounding margin this year.

Saint Joseph's at UMBC    4 p.m.

  • The Retrievers and Hawks have met three times before, with Saint Joseph's owning the 3-0 lead in the series. The two teams have never played before on the UMBC campus.
  • Junior Tope Obajolu, who leads the league in blocks, recorded a school-record seven last time out.

Brown at New Hampshire    4 p.m.

  • The Wildcats will try to pick up their second win of the season, and the league's second win over Brown. Albany defeated the Bears earlier this year.
  • Redshirt freshman Kelsey Hogan leads the team with 10.0 ppg as well as 5.0 apg. Junior Jill McDonald has 9.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg to lead the team in the post.

Albany 49, Manhattan 48- Box Score

  • With its 49-48 victory over Manhattan, Albany is off to its first 3-0 start since the 1986-87 season and its first 3-0 start as a Division I program.
  • Junior guard Felicia Johnson scored a career-high 21 points on 8-17 shooting, including the go-ahead shot that gave the Great Danes the victory.
  • Sophomore guard Ebone Henry recorded her third double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in 38 minutes of action.
  • The Great Danes will hope to continue their undefeated start to the season when they host St. Peter's on Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Maine 74, Bryant 66- Box Score

  • Maine picked up its first win of the season with a 74-66 comeback road victory over Bryant.
  • Redshirt freshman guard Amber Smith put together the best performance of her young career, scoring a career-high 22 points on 7-12 shooting from the field.
  • Junior forward Samantha Wheeler provided an excellent presence in the post for the Black Bears. Wheeler scored 16 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in the win.
  • The Black Bears return home to host Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Marist 76, Vermont 49- Box Score

  • In the opening game of the TD Bank Classic at Patrick Gymnasium, the host Catamounts fell 76-49 to Marist.
  • Senior forward/center Tonya Young came off the bench to provide Vermont with a huge lift. Young scored a team-high 22 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in 28 minutes of action.
  • Sophomore guard Kristine Lalonde did an excellent job finding her teammates in the flow of the offense, scoring five points and dishing out a team-high five assists in the loss.
  • The Catamounts close out the TD Bank Classic with a matchup against Boston College on Saturday, Nov. 20.
