Thursday, November 18
Hofstra 84, Stony Brook 72-- Box Score

  • Stony Brook couldn't overcome a six-point halftime deficit, as it fell 84-72 to Long Island-rival Hofstra at Pritchard Gymnasium.
  • Senior guard Jodie Plikus shot the ball with great confidence from the perimeter, hitting 4-11 from behind the three-point line to score a team-high 14 points.
  • Sophomore guard Sam Landers came off the bench to dish out a team-high seven assists and score 11 points in 28 minutes of action.
  • The Seawolves continue their five-game homestand with a visit from Nicholls State on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Wednesday, November 17
at Boston U. 83, Yale 64    - Boxscore

  • Sophomore guard Mo Moran recorded the first triple-double by a Boston University player since 2004, scoring 15 points, grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds and dishing out a team-high 11 assists in the win. It was the first triple-double in America East since Vermont's Courtnay Pilypaitis on Jan. 10, 2010.
  • Senior center Kerry Cashman dominated on both ends of the court for the Terriers, scoring a career-high 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting and grabbing 10 boards for the double-double.

Tuesday, November 16
at New Hampshire 65, Dartmouth 52    - Boxscore

  • New Hampshire (1-1) topped Dartmouth in the Wildcats' home opener, earning first-year head coach Maureen Magarity the first win of her career.
  • Offensively, guard Kelsey Hogan and center Jill McDonald each scored 15 points. McDonald added a career-high 13 rebounds to earn a double-double.
  • As a team, the Wildcats shot 51.9 percent from the field on 27-for-52 shooting. On the other end, New Hampshire held Dartmouth to 37.3 percent shooting.

at UMBC 58, Coppin State 51 - Boxscore
  • UMBC (1-2) grabbed its first win of the season center Topé Obajolu blocked seven shots in the game to set a new UMBC record for blocks in a game.
  • The Retriever defense held Coppin State to 28.2 percent shooting from the field on 20-for-71 shooting. UMBC allowed only one made three-pointer in 12 attempts, holding its opponent to 8.3 percent shooting from long distance.
  • Offensively, the Retrievers were led by forward Erin Brown, who dropped in 15 points and added three assists. Guard Michelle Kurowski added 14 points to the Retriever attack.

at Binghamton 66, Canisius 50    - Boxscore
  • Binghamton (1-1) won its first game of the season due in large part to the scoring of guard Andrea Holmes. Holmes hit six three-pointers on her way to scoring a game-high 28 points.
  • The Bearcats outrebounded the Griffins, 49-29, and held a 23-6 edge on the offensive glass.
  • The Binghamton defense recorded 12 steals and forced 21 turnovers overall.

Albany 49, at St. Francis (NY) 43    - Boxscore
  • Albany (2-0) topped St. Francis (N.Y.) to remain undefeated in 2010-11. Albany is the only undefeated team remaining in America East.
  • The Great Danes were led by forward Ebone Henry, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards, her second double-double in as many games this year.
