Stony Brook at Fairleigh Dickinson, 7 p.m. --  Stony Brook Radio

  • The Seawolves look for their third straight win when they visit the Stags Thursday.
  • Stony Brook is playing its third game in five days.
  • Chris Martin sank a pair of free throws with 22 seconds remaining to lead the Seawolves to a comeback win over Monmouth Tuesday in a game was televised nationally on ESPN as part of the College Basketball Season Tipoff.
  • SBU outscored the Hawks 17-6 down the stretch to and erased an 11-point deficit to seal the win.
  • Martin led the way with 13 points and added five rebounds.

Wednesday, November 17

No.6 Villanova 82, Boston University 66 -- Box Score

  • Boston University couldn’t overcome four Villanova starters scoring in double-figures, as the Terriers fell 82-66 in the Dick’s Preseason Sporting Good NIT Season Tip-Off.
  • Senior guard John Holland led the Terriers on the offensive end, scoring a team-high 14 points on 5-18 shooting from the field.
  • Junior forward Jake O’Brien put together an efficient offensive performance, scoring 13 points on 5-7 shooting. Junior guard Darryl Partin chipped in 12 points in the loss.
  • The Terriers return home to host Marist on Friday Nov. 19.


Connecticut 89, Vermont 73 -- Box Score

  • Vermont held a 36-33 advantage over UConn at the half, but could not hold on in the second half, giving up 53 points to the Huskies after the break.
  • Senior forward Evan Fjeld led the Catamounts with 26 points on 10-for-18 shooting from the field. Fjeld also hit six of his eight free throws. Through two games this season, Fjeld is averaging 22.5 points per game and is shooting 58.6 percent from the field.
  • Junior forward Matt Glass added 24 points in his second game for the Catamounts. Glass hit six three-pointers on the night.


Loyola (Md.) 83, UMBC 72 -- Box Score

  • Four UMBC players scored in double figures, but the Retrievers were unable to keep up with in-state rival Loyola (Md.).
  • The Retriever offensive attack was led by graduate student guard Travis King, who scored a career-high 22 points. King shot 7-for-10 from the field, hitting three of his four attempts from long range.
  • Graduate student forward Laurence Jolicoeur added 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Chase Plummer and Chris De La Rosa scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.


Bucknell 66, Binghamton 38 -- Box Score

  • Binghamton held an 18-12 advantage with 8:55 remaining in the first half, but did not score again for over 13 minutes, falling behind, 35-18, during that span.
  • Senior forward Greer Wright led the Bearcats, scoring 21 points including four three-pointers.
  • Forward Mahamoud Jabbi grabbed 10 boards to lead the Bearcats. Forward Moussa Camara added nine rebounds.


Georgia Tech 78, Albany 51 -- Box Score

  • Albany fell behind early and never got back into the game as they fell to the Yellow Jackets in the first game of the Legends Classic.
  • Albany was led in the scoring column by senior guard Tim Ambrose, who scored 16 points on the evening.
  • Sophomore guard Logan Aronhalt added 14 points.
