Upcoming Action

Sunday, October 3

UMBC at New Hampshire, 12 p.m. -- Live Stats

New Hampshire (4-5-3, 0-1-0 America East) looks for its first win in league play as it welcomes UMBC (2-8-1, 1-1-0 America East) to Durham, N.H.

New Hampshire comes into the match after tying at Brown last Wednesday. The Wildcats earned a draw, 2-2, against the Bears. Carole LeBlanc and Chelsea Kuss scored for the Wildcats in that match. The only America East match for the Wildcats in 2010 was a 2-0 loss to Boston University last weekend.

UMBC is coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Terriers last Thursday. The Retrievers lost the match, 1-0, despite a fantastic performance by freshman keeper Lauren Kadet, who made eight saves in the match. The Retrievers also were able to get two shots past the Boston U. keeper, but both shots found the crossbar instead of the back of the net.

Stony Brook at Boston U., 1 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video | Live Audio

Stony Brook (2-7-2, 1-0-1 America East) heads to Boston University (7-5-0, 2-0-0 America East) for a battle between two of the three unbeaten squads in America East play.

Both of these teams are coming off victories against league foes on Thursday afternoon. Stony Brook spoiled the conference home opener for Albany, 2-0. Boston U. took down UMBC, 1-0, on the road in Baltimore.

Both teams are currently riding unbeaten streaks into this match. Stony Brook is 2-0-1 in its last three matches. The Seawolves have scored seven goals during that span while allowing only two. Boston University has won its last four matches, all of which came by shutout.

Binghamton at Vermont, 1 p.m. -- Live Video

Binghamton (3-8-0, 1-1-0 America East) squares off against Vermont (1-10-0, 0-2-0 America East) in a match between two teams looking to get back on track in America East play.

The Bearcats found themselves on the wrong side of a 1-0 score on the road against Hartford on Thursday. The Bearcats held Hartford scoreless until the 70th minute, but were unable to find the back of the net themselves in what was a defensive battle.

The Catamounts actually had a 1-0 advantage over Maine Thursday afternoon. However, Vermont could not maintain that lead, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Black Bears in Orono, Maine. The Catamounts are still looking for their first conference victory of 2010.

Albany at Hartford, 2 p.m. -- Live Stats | Live Video

Hartford (4-6-2, 1-0-1 America East) puts its unbeaten conference mark on the line as it hosts Albany (0-1-0, 5-6-0 America East) in West Hartford, Conn.

The Hawks came out on top of Binghamton, 1-0, on Thursday night. The win was due in large part to the play of a pair of juniors. Forward Breeanna Robinson scored the lone goal of the match in the 70th minute. In net, keeper Lauren Brodeur made three saves en route to her league-leading fourth shutout of the season.

Albany is coming off a loss on Thursday afternoon at the hands of Stony Brook. The Great Danes were shutout in the match, 2-0. The Great Danes could not score despite putting nine shots on goal. To get past the Hawks, Albany will need to score against Brodeur, something it has not done in the last two meetings between these teams.
