Albany at New Hampshire, 2:30 p.m. – Live Stats

Albany (5-8-1, 1-3-1 America East) heads to New Hampshire (6-3-5, 1-2-2 America East) for a matchup between two teams fighting for one of the last spots in the six-team America East tournament.

As it stands now, the Great Danes are in a tie for seventh place with Vermont. This comes after the Great Danes topped Vermont, 1-0, last Saturday. New Hampshire is currently in sixth place in America East, just in front of Albany and Vermont. The Wildcats are coming off an upset win over Boston U., 2-1, in overtime.

Both of these teams have had trouble scoring this season. Albany has scored 13 goals while New Hampshire has found the net 10 times. However, Albany has surrendered seven goals in its five conference matches. New Hampshire has allowed eight goals all season.

Tonight’s match could be a battle of goalkeepers. Albany junior Adrian Foncette leads the conference in saves, averaging 5.50 per contest. New Hampshire senior Colin O’Donnell leads America East keepers in goals against average (.53) and save percentage (.877).

Stony Brook at Hartford, 7 p.m. – Live Stats | Live Video

Stony Brook (8-5-3, 2-1-2 America East) looks to lock up a berth in the conference tournament as it travels to Hartford (5-8-0, 2-3-0 America East) for a semifinal match from last season.

Stony Brook currently sits in a three-way tie for second place in the conference standings. The Seawolves would clinch a spot in the tournament with a win tonight against the Hawks. The Seawolves beat the Hawks twice last season, including in the conference tournament. However, Stony Brook has never beaten the Hawks in West Hartford.

Winning in West Hartford has been difficult for opponents all season. The Hawks have won their last five home games. The last loss for Hartford at Alumni Stadium was a non-conference match against Boston U. in the home opener.

Vermont at UMBC, 7 p.m. – Live Stats | Live Video

Vermont (6-6-4, 1-3-1 America East) looks to position itself for a playoff push as it travels to UMBC (8-4-2, 2-1-2 America East) to take on a Retriever team with a chance to clinch a tournament spot.

Vermont is in the midst of a five-game winless streak, including three losses to conference foes. However, the Catamounts could still potentially host a match in the America East tournament. The Catamounts currently sit in a seventh-place tie with Albany, but are just one point behind New Hampshire for the last spot in the tournament, and just four points out of second place.

UMBC is one of the three teams sharing second place in the conference standings. With a win at home against Vermont, the Retrievers would clinch a tournament berth. The Retrievers will use their explosive offense to try and outscore the Catamounts. UMBC gives up 1.50 goals per game, tied for the most in the conference, but averages a league-best 1.93 goals per contest and has scored at least three goals in a match five times this season.

In last season’s meeting, the Retrievers could not get that offense going, as Vermont beat UMBC in Burlington, 3-1.

Binghamton at Boston U., 7 p.m. – Live Stats | Live Video | Live Audio

Binghamton (2-1-2, 4-5-4 America East) heads to Boston, Mass., in search of a tournament spot as they face a Boston University (9-4-1, 4-1-0 America East) squad that has a chance to clinch the top seed in the conference tournament.

Tonight’s match pits two of the top teams in America East. Binghamton and Boston U. were the last two teams to lose a conference game. However, both teams suffered their first conference loss last Saturday. Binghamton lost to Stony Brook, 2-1, in overtime while Boston U. lost to New Hampshire, 2-1, in double overtime.

Despite the recent losses, both teams are in good position in the conference. Boston U. is still the only America East team to have clinched a tournament berth. Binghamton currently shares second place with Stony Brook and UMBC and clinches a tournament berth with a win tonight. Both teams are still in the running for a quarterfinal bye.

Last season, the Bearcats topped the Terriers, 2-1, in Vestal, N.Y.
