Binghamton at Stony
Brook, 1 p.m.- Live Stats ; Live Video
Binghamton (4-10-2, 2-3-2 America East) travels to Stony
Brook (5-9-2, 4-2-1 America East) in a game that has huge conference tournament
implications for both teams. The Bearcats enter the final day of America East
play in a battle for the final spot in the conference tournament while Stony
Brook will be looking to potentially clinch an opening round bye.
In order for the Bearcats to qualify for the conference
tournament, they would need a win combined with a tie or loss by Maine, or a
tie combined with a loss by Maine. Binghamton holds the tiebreaker over Maine
due to the fact that the Bearcats won the head-to-head match up. Binghamton
enters the finale coming off a 1-1 (2OT) tie against New Hampshire. It appeared
the Bearcats were on their way to a huge victory when sophomore forward Jamie
Holliday gave her team the lead in the 56th minute. However, in the
final minute of regulation, the Wildcats tied the game with a goal from junior
midfielder Alli Rozelle.
Heading into the final day of the America East season, Stony
Brook has already clinched its spot in the conference tournament. However,
based on how things play out on Sunday, the Seawolves still can finish anywhere
from No. 2-No.5 in the standings. Stony Brook carries momentum heading into
this game following a 2-1 win over Maine. Junior midfielder Dominique Adamo
netted two goals for the Seawolves to help earn the home victory.
Maine at Boston
University, 1 p.m.- Live Stats ; Live Video ; Live Radio
Maine (7-7-0, 3-4-0 America East) travels to Boston
University (13-5-0, 7-0-0 America East) knowing that a victory over the
Terriers would clinch them a spot in the America East conference tournament. While the Terriers have already clinched the
No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, the Black Bears have a lot on the
line.
The easiest way for Maine to ensure its spot in the
conference tournament is to defeat Boston University. However, the Terriers
have won 10 straight games and rely on a defense that has not allowed a goal in
the past 10 games. Maine can also qualify for the conference tournament with a
tie combined with a loss or tie by Binghamton. The Black Bears need to bounce
back from a 2-1 loss to Stony Brook. After falling behind in the fifth minute,
junior midfielder Kelsey Wilson tied the game with a goal from the penalty
spot. However, Stony Brook scored the game-winning goal in the 41st
minute to earn the win.
With its 2-0 win over Albany, Boston University clinched the
America East regular-season championship. The Terriers stretched their winning
streak to 10 games and have not allowed a goal since a 3-0 loss to Virginia on
September 12. The 10-game shutout streak is tied for the sixth longest in NCAA
history. In its 2-0 win over the Great Danes, Boston U. had to work hard to
find the opening goal. Graduate student Lisa Kevorkian scored her league-high 13th
goal of the season when she scored from the penalty spot in the 41stth minute.
minute. Junior midfielder Tiya Gallegos sealed the win with an outstanding

Vermont at Albany, 2
p.m.- Live Stats
Albany (8-7-2, 3-2-2 America East) looks to improve its
seeding in the America East conference tournament when it hosts Vermont
(2-15-0, 1-6-0 America East). Depending on the results on the final day of
conference play, the Great Danes can finish anywhere from No. 2-No.6 in the
standings.
Albany looks to generate some momentum heading into the
conference tournament after a 2-0 loss at Nickerson Field. Despite not getting
the final result they wanted, the Great Danes pushed Boston University
throughout the match and made things difficult for the regular-season
champions. Sophomore goalkeeper Breanna Maggio put together an impressive
individual performance, making six saves in the loss.
Vermont heads into the finale having already been eliminated
from contention for a spot in the conference tournament. The Catamounts
finished off the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 7-0 loss to
Dartmouth. Senior forward Jessica Becker led Vermont in attack, as she
attempted two shots in the loss.
Hartford at New
Hampshire, 2 p.m.- Live Stats
New Hampshire (8-6-4, 4-2-1 America East) hosts Hartford
(6-8-3, 3-2-2 America East) on the final day of America East play in a game
that will have conference tournament implications. Depending on results from
other games on Sunday, New Hampshire could finish anywhere between No. 2- No.5,
while Hartford could finish from No. 2- No.6.
The Wildcats can clinch the No. 2 seed in the conference
tournament, which means a first round bye, if they can defeat Hartford. Should
UNH lose, they could potentially drop all the way down to No. 5 depending on
other results. With a tie, the Wildcats can finish either No.2 or No. 3. New
Hampshire enters this game on the heels of a thrilling 1-1 draw with
Binghamton. With only one minute remaining in regulation, junior midfielder
Alli Rozelle tied the game to help her team earn a vital point.
Hartford clinched a spot in the conference tournament with
its 2-0 win over UMBC. The Hawks can climb as high as No.2 in the final
standings with a win combined with losses by New Hampshire and Stony Brook. A
loss could see Hartford drop all the way to No. 6. In the win over UMBC,
Hartford used two first-half goals to secure the key win. Junior forward Alex
Uscilla opened the scoring with a goal in the 14th minute. Freshman
midfielder Lizzy Clarke added the second goal just five minutes later to lock
up a spot in the conference tournament.
