minute when she converted on a pass from junior forward Jess Luscinski.
The Terriers have now won their 10th-straight game via shutout.
They have not allowed a goal in a record nine consecutive America East regular
season matches, a streak that dates back to last season. With the win, Boston
U. guaranteed itself an outright America East regular season championship, the
fourth in a row for the Terriers.
Meanwhile, Albany drops to fourth place in the league standings. The
Great Danes still have a
chance to host a tournament match.
Stony Brook 2, Maine 1 – Box Score
Stony Brook (5-9-2, 4-2-1 America East) used two first half goals from junior
midfielder Dominique Adamo to get past Maine (7-7-0, 3-4-0 America East) and
secure a spot in the America East tournament.
Adamo scored her first goal of the match in the fifth minute when she
beat Maine freshman keeper Meagan Price-Leibenzeder to score her fifth goal of
the season. The goal, assisted by sophomore midfielder Sa’sha Kershaw, put the
Seawolves ahead, 1-0.
Maine answered back in the 18th minute when junior midfielder
Kelsey Wilson scored on a penalty kick to knot the game, 1-1.
Late in the first half, Adamo again put Stony Brook in the lead, 2-1,
with an unassisted goal. The eventual gamewinner came in the 43rd
minute.
With the loss, Maine drops to sixth in the league standings,
controlling its postseason destiny as it heads into the final weekend of the
season.

New Hampshire (8-6-4, 4-2-1 America East) scored a goal late in
regulation to tie its match against Binghamton (4-10-2, 2-3-2 America East) and

Holliday scored her second goal of the season off a feed from sophomore forward
Sarah Furminger. Holliday’s goal came in the 56th minute.
The Bearcats held that lead into the 89th minute. That is
when New Hampshire junior midfielder Alli Rozelle knotted the match, 1-1, when
she put back a rebound of a shot by senior midfielder Amy Avitabile. The match
then went into overtime, in which neither team was able to find the back of the
net.
With the draw, New Hampshire clinched a spot in the America East
tournament. Meanwhile, Binghamton currently sits in seventh place in the league
standings, just out of the tournament after getting to the championship game in

The Retrievers, with a scheduled bye for next Sundays league matches
and having previously been eliminated from tournament contention, completed
their season in West Hartford.
