Stony Brook at Vermont, 1 p.m. -- Live Video
Stony Brook (7-5-2, 1-1-1 America East) looks to extend its unbeaten streak to three games when it travels to Vermont (6-5-3, 1-2-0 America East).

The Seawolves are coming off a 0-0 (2OT) tie against New Hampshire. Despite not finding the back of the net, Stony Brook played attacking soccer throughout the match, attempting 20 shots. Sophomore midfielder Leonardo Fernandes was arguably the most dangerous guy on the field for either team, as he took six shots in the scoreless draw. Sophomore goalkeeper Stefan Manz made four saves to help record his second consecutive shutout.

Vermont needs to rebound following a 2-0 loss to Boston University at Nickerson Field. After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, the action really picked up in the second half. The Terriers recorded two goals in a six-minute span to open up the lead early in the second half. Despite outshooting Boston University, 10-5, in the second half, the Catamounts were unable to get the ball past Boston U. freshman goalkeeper Brandon Briggs. Vermont was led in attack by senior midfielder Kyle Luetkehans, who attempted two shots in the loss.

Stony Brook continues its three-game road trip with a visit to Binghamton on October 23. Vermont begins a two-game road trip with a visit to Albany on the same day.

Binghamton at Albany, 2 p.m. -- Live Stats

Binghamton (4-4-3, 2-0-1 America East) looks to continue its unbeaten start to America East play when it travels to intrastate rival Albany (4-8-0, 0-3-0 America East).

Binghamton closed out its two-game homestand in thrilling fashion, picking up a key 2-1 (2OT) victory over Hartford. The Bearcats grabbed the early lead courtesy of a goal from junior midfielder Ryan Walter in the 33rd minute of action. The score remained the same until the 71st minute, when Hartford junior forward Patrick Boucher tied the game. After some thrilling soccer at the end of regulation and in the first overtime period, the Bearcats struck with the game-winning goal. Senior forward Scott Zobre converted an excellent assist from Walter in the 102nd minute to secure the win.

Albany dropped its third consecutive game in America East play when it fell 3-1 to UMBC. The Great Danes were down two goals in the first fifteen minutes, as the UMBC offense came out firing on all cylinders. Senior forward Levi Houapeu led the Retrieves in attack, scoring two goals in the victory. Albany avoided the shutout with a goal in the 76th minute from sophomore midfielder Tjerk Veltman.

Binghamton returns home to host Stony Brook on October 23. Albany closes out its four-game homestand with a visit from Vermont on the same day.
 
New Hampshire at Hartford, 7 p.m. -- Live Stats| Live Video
New Hampshire (5-2-4, 0-1-2 America East) continues the search for its first win in conference play when it heads out on the road to face Hartford (3-7-0, 1-2-0 America East).

The Wildcats produced another excellent defensive performance in their 0-0 (2OT) tie against Stony Brook. Although they were unable to find the back of the net, the Wildcats had some excellent attacking moments in the draw. Junior midfielder Brad Hilton was particularly aggressive, attempting three shots. Defensively, UNH was led by senior goalkeeper Colin O’Donnell. O’Donnell, who made five saves against Stony Brook, leads the America East with six shutouts this season.

Hartford is coming off a difficult 2-1 (2OT) loss at Binghamton. After falling behind early, the Hawks tied the game in the 71st minute when junior forward Patrick Boucher found the back of the net following an excellent pass from freshman defender Liam Williams. However, it was the Bearcats that pulled out the victory, as senior forward Scott Zobre netted the game-winning goal in the 102nd minute.

New Hampshire closes out its three-game road trip with a visit to Holy Cross on October 20. Hartford hosts Army on the same day.

Boston University 2, at UMBC 0 -- Box Score
Boston University scored goals 11:24 apart to bridge the first and second halves en route to a 2-0 win over UMBC in front of a crowd of 2,781 fan. The was nationally televised on Fox Soccer Channel.

The Terriers (9-3-1, 4-0-0 America East), who has won six straight games and sits in first place in the league standings, broke through at the 36 minute mark. Senior Stephen Knox fired a shot on UMBC (6-4-2, 1-1-2 America East) keeper Dan Louisignau, who made the initial save, by Ben Havey pounded home the rebound to give Boston U. a 1-0 lead.

Havey set up the second score, which came 2:26 into second half as Ryan Shea took the long pass and scored from 16 yards out. Brandon Briggs made two saves to record his league-leading sixth shutout of the season.
