Boston University at UMBC, 8 p.m. (Fox Soccer Channel)
Two of the top teams in America East will face off when UMBC hosts Boston University in the NSCAA College Game of the Week on Friday night. The game, which begins at 8 p.m., will be televised nationally on Fox Soccer Channel.
Steve Johnson (play-by-play) and Steve Bell (analyst) will have the call from UMBC Stadium.
UMBC (6-3-2 overall, 1-0-2 America East) is unbeaten in its last four games (2-0-2) and is coming off a 3-1 win over Albany on Wednesday. Senior midfielder Levi Houapeu scored his league-leading ninth goal of the season and ranks among national leaders with 21 points. Junior Dan Louisignau made six saves in the win over the Great Danes and has a 0.68 goals-against average and 21 saves since taking over the starting position.
Boston University (8-3-1, 3-0-0), winners of five straight games, posted a 2-0 win over Vermont on Tuesday. Seniors Ben Berube and Aaron O'Neal tallied second-half goals and freshman goalkeeper Brandon Briggs made four saves to earn his shutout of the season. Berube, who has tallied five straight game-winning goals ranks second among league leaders with 16 points, while Briggs is second with a 1.00 GAA.
