UMBC at Maine, 12 p.m.
- The Black Bears' 14 wins are already the program's most since the 2004-05 squad won 15 games.
- Mike Allison's layup as time expired against Boston U. Wednesday gave Maine its sixth straight win and ninth in 10 games.
- The 6-1 start in America East play is the program's best in its 31 years in the league.
- Murphy Burnatowski scored 11 of his career-high 14 points in the first half.
- Terrance Mitchell had 10 points off the bench for the Black Bears, who held Boston U. to a season-low 52 points.
- The Retrievers
have won three straight and five out of six against Maine, including at
73-68 overtime win in their last meeting Feb. 7, 2009.
- UMBC surrendered a season-high 80 points to Binghamont en route to its 10th straight loss.
- Chauncey Gilliam led UMBC with 18 points and has reached double-figures in five straight games.
- Nearly two-thirds of UMBC's offense (64.3 percent) comes from newcomers.
- UMBC ranks 25th nationally with just 11.6 turnovers per game.
Albany at Vermont, 2 p.m.
- Albany has won its last three trips to Patrick Gym after going winless in its first seven trips.
- Logan Aronhalt scored a team-high 14 points in Wednesday's loss to Hartford, Albany's fourth straight defeat.
- Tim Ambrose added 10 points and six assists. He is just 26 points shy
of becoming the 30th Great Dane to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
- The Great Danes lead the league shooting 72.0 percent as a team from the free throw line.
- The Catamounts were outrebounded by 18 in the second half at UNH Wednesday and dropped their third straight league contest.
- Marqus Blakely led Vermont with 17 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and three steals.
- Evan Fjeld had 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
- Marqus Blakely is the only player in the country to rank among his league's top-5 in scoring (2nd - 17.6 ppg), rebounding (1st - 9.4 rpg), assists (4th - 3.8 apg), steals (1st - 2.8 spg) and blocks (1st - 2.3 bpg) and is the only player to lead his team in all those categories.
Boston University at Stony Brook, 7 p.m.
- Bryan Dougher scored a career-high 30 points in Stony Brook's 84-75 victory over Boston U. in the two team's first meeting on Jan. 2.
- The Terriers, which are 20th in the country with 8.4 made three-pointers per game, are 13-5 all-time against the Seawolves.
- Dougher is averaging 17.8 ppg and shooting 58.0 percent (40-69) from deep over his last nine games.
- The Seawolves are off to their best-ever start in conference play and best start overall since the 1990-91 campaign.
- Against Albany Sunday, Dougher drained his only three-pointer with 1:08 remaining to give Stony Brook a 61-58 lead, which it would not relinquish.
- Boston
University, the league's top scoring team at 69.9 points per game,
scored a season-low 52 points in Wednesday's loss at Maine.
- John Holland, America East's leading scorer with 19.6 ppg, led Boston U. with 13 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
- Jake O'Brien also had 13 points, while Corey Lowe added 12.
New Hampshire at Binghamton, 7 p.m.
- Binghamton
swept UNH last year, including a thrilling 72-67 win in the semis of
the conference tournament. The Wildcats made 11-of-18 three-point tries
and improved to 7-1 at Lundholm Gym this season.
- The Bearcats won for the fifth time in eight games and snapped a five-game losing skid at UMBC.
- The 80 points were a season-high for Binghamton and the most since putting up 88 in a win over Albany on Feb. 9, 2009.
- Dylan Talley scored a career-high 22 points, while Greer Wright contributed 17 points and eight rebounds and Mahamoud Jabbi had 10 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and four blocks.
- Alvin Abreu and Tyrone Conley each had 21 points and combined to go 8-of-11 from beyond the arc in a 75-56 win vs. Vermont Wednesday.
- Russell Graham recorded a career-best 12 assists, also tying Hartford's Andres Torres for the most in a game this season, and committed just one turnover.
- UNH leads America East and ranks 28th in the nation in scoring defense, holding opponents to 60.7 ppg.
