*Hartford at Vermont (NESN, ESPN360, ESPN Full Court, AmericaEast.TV)    7 p.m.

  • This contest not only pits together the teams finishing 1-2 in the preseason coaches' poll, but also the league's top offense against the league's toughest defense. Vermont averages 68.8 ppg, while Hartford allows opponents just 54.3 ppg.
  • Both teams are receiving votes in the AP Top-25 poll. The Catamounts garnered 12 this week, while the Hawks received 11 votes.
  • In league play, Vermont senior Courtnay Pilypaitis is third in scoring (15.6 ppg), first in rebounding (9.0 rpg) and tops in assists (6.3 apg).
  • After averaging 9.1 ppg in non-league action, Hartford senior forward Erica Beverly has stepped up to average 11.0 ppg against America East opponents.

*at #24 Vermont 67, Stony Brook 45

  • Vermont senior guard Courtnay Pilypaitis led three Catamounts in double-figure scoring with 21 points. She also added four assists and four steals.
  • Classmate May Kotsopoulos chipped in 18 points, while junior Tonya Young scored 11 points to go along with two blocks and five steals.
  • Junior Kirsten Jeter paced Stony Brook with 15 points, eight boards and four steals. She cracked 900 career points, finished the game with 908.

*at Hartford 59, Albany 36 (CTSN)

  • Hartford senior forward Erica Beverly registered her second double-double in as many games while playing just 23 minutes. She fiished with 10 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and four blocks.
  • Senior center Diana Delva also finished in double-figures for the Hawks, netting 16 points and improving on her league-leading field-goal percentage with 7-for-9 shooting.
  • Albany, who leads America East with over 10 steals per game, swiped 13 from Hartford. Great Dane rookie Ebone Henry recorded team-highs of 16 points and six steals.

*UMBC 65, at Boston U. 63

  • Retriever senior Carlee Cassidy netted a game-high 18 points. All five of her field goals came from long distance. She also dished out a game-high six assists.
  • UMBC hit 11 of its 14 free-throw attempts, including 8-for-10 in the second half, which made the difference in the game. The Terriers were only able to convert 5-of-12 foul shots.
  • Boston U. freshman Chantell Alford led the team in scoring for the third time in four games with 16 points. Fellow rookies Kristen Sims and Caitlynn Moran finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

*at Binghamton 83, New Hampshire 59

  • The Bearcats poured in a season high for team points and topped 80 points for the second time in three games.
  • Binghamton sophomore forward Viive Rebane scored a season-high 20 points to go along with five assists and four steals.
  • UNH senior Amy Simpson notched her 1,000th career point on her final field goal of the evening, finishing the game with eight points. Senior Candace Williams and freshman Cari Reed each scored a team-high 12 points.
