*UMBC at Maine 12 p.m.
- The Retrievers won last year's season series against the Black Bears, including a 77-74 victory at Alfond Arena in February.
- UMBC senior guard Carlee Cassidy, who has 14 three-pointers in the last four games, has averaged 18.5 ppg against Maine in six career games against the Retrievers' northern-most league foe.
- Maine sophomore forward Samantha Wheeler has averaged 14.5 ppg and 8.0 rpg in two America East games so far. A year ago as a freshman, Wheeler averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in league play.
*Albany at Vermont 2 p.m.
- The Catamounts, the second-best offense in the conference with 66.6 ppg, are going up against America East's second-best defense in Albany who allows just 59.5 ppg.
- Vermont and Albany both top the league with a turnover margin of +3.3.
- The hosts have done much of their damage behind the performances of two seniors, May Kotsopoulos and Courtnay Pilypaitis who combine for 33.6 ppg.
- Of the Great Danes' top four scorers, all among the league's top 30, three of them are underclassmen. Sophomore Felicia Johnson (9.9 ppg) has been one of the hottest of those four, averaging 12.2 ppg in the last five games.

*at Binghamton 74, Stony Brook 58 (TW)
- The Bearcats shot 53.5% from the field for the game and spread out the scoring with five players in double-figures.
- Sophomore Viive Rebane finished with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, adding three steals, two assists and a block to her statline. Classmate Andrea Holmes recorded team highs of 14 points and four steals.
- The Seawolves shot 48% in the first half but couldn't keep up that pace, finishing at 36.% for the game.
- Senior Crystal Rushin scored a team-high 14 points, while junior Misha Horsey netted 12 points and knocked down four three-pointers.
*Hartford 72, at New Hampshire 45
- Ten different Hawks scored a point in the contest, but senior starters Erica Beverly and Jenna Peterson led the way with 17 and 11 points, respectively.
- Beverly shot 6-for-7 from the floor and 5-for-7 from the charity stripe, while Peterson went a perfect 4-for-4 in field goals, including 2-for-2 from long.
- The Hawks outrebounded the Wildcats, 33-21, with Hartford freshman Nikkia Smith collected a team-best six boards.
- UNH senior forward Candace Williams led the Wildcats with 13 points. Going just 2-for-9 from the field, she made up for with a 7-of-8 effort from the foul line.
Thursday, January 7
*Boston U. 68, at Binghamton 57
- The Terriers netted more free throws (25) than field goals (19) on their way to their second consecutive league victory on the road. They attempted 34 foul shots, making 73.5% of them count.
- Boston U. sophomore Alex Young scored a game-high 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting. Freshman Mo Moran stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
- Binghamton sophomore Viive Rebane finished with a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds, with 11 of those boards coming on the offensive glass. Junior Jackie Ward and senior Erica Carter scored 13 and 11 points, respectively.
*at Vermont 80, Maine 49
- Vermont seniors May Kotsopoulos and Courtnay Pilypaitis scored 24 and 22 points, respectively, each going 8-for-13 from the field. Pilypaitis also added nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals with a 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc.
- Sophomore Samantha Wheeler led the Black Bears with 13 points and seven rebounds. Teammates Corinne Wellington and Brittany Williams matched Wheeler's rebounding peformance with seven a piece.
