Cambridge, Mass - The Terriers' men's and women's swimming and diving teams are picked to win the 2010 America East Swimming and Diving Championship, according to the preseason coaches' polls. Boston University's men's squad slid past the six-time reigning champs, UMBC, to first-place in the poll by one point. The defending champions, the Boston U. women, also edged out UMBC by one point to claim the top-spot in the poll.
On the men's side, behind UMBC, 2 first-place votes and 14 points, is Binghamton University in third (10 points) followed by Stony Brook University (7) and University of Maine (4)
UMBC garnered second on the women's side with three first-place votes and 33 points followed by University of Vermont (24 points), University of New Hampshire (23), Stony Brook University (15), Binghamton University (11) and University of Maine (7).
