Three games involving America East teams have been tabbed as the NSCAA College Game of the Week and will be aired
nationally on Fox Soccer Channel, the organizations announced today.
The selections are highlighted by the Boston University-Binghamton men's tilt on October 16 in Vestal. The Terriers will also host Boston College in men's action on September 18 while the Boston U. women will kick off the women's portion of the slate by hosting Harvard on September 20.
The Bearcats and Terriers, who have combined to win four conference titles in six years, played for the championship last November 15 and figure to be factors yet again in 2009. Boston U. edged Binghamton 1-0 in that contest.
The 20-game telecast schedule features eight men’s and eight women’s teams ranked in the NSCAA preseason national rankings, including the Boston U. men which is ranked 24th. Dean Linke, radio voice of the United Soccer Leagues’ Carolina RailHawks, will call the action while Keith Tabatznik and Kyndra de St. Aubin will serve as primary analysts for the men's and women's telecasts, respectively.
This is the second straight year an America East contest has been chosen as part of the national package. Last season, Boston U. edged Binghamton, 4-2, in women's action.
