CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Three student-athletes will represent the America East Conference at the Division I IWLCA/Under-Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game, while Boston University Head Coach Liz Robertshaw will head up the north squad. The rosters were announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association (IWLCA) this week.
The Division I Annual North-South game will take place on Saturday, June 13 at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa. as part of the Champions’ Cup tournament. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
Boston University senior defender Kelly Munroe and University of Vermont senior midfielder Kristen Millar will both compete on the north team, while UMBC senior midfielder Kara Dorr will participate on the south squad. In all, 43 women were honored on the two all-star teams. Maryland’s Cathy Reese will mentor the south squad.
Munroe, Millar and Dorr were all all-conference honorees last month, and all three were also recently named IWLCA All-Regional selections. In addition, Munroe was named a third-team All-American by the coaches' association. Robertshaw was named the 2009 America East Coach of the Year and led the Terriers to their fifth-straight America East Championship and NCAA berth.
