America East tennis champions Binghamton University men and Boston University women were elminated in the first round of the NCAA Tennis Championships on Saturday at Texas A&M and UCLA, respectively.
The Bearcats, who were making their fifth tournament appearance in seven years, dropped a 4-0 decision to 15th-ranked Aggies at College Station, site of this year's NCAA Finals.
The Terriers, ranked 59th in the nation, fell to 11th-ranked UCLA, the defending champion, 4-0 in Los Angeles. The NCAA showing was Boston U's 11th straight.
Two weeks ago, Binghamton downed Stony Brook 4-1 to capture their second straight title, while Boston U. downed Binghamton, 4-1, for their 16th consecutive conference title.
