Binghamton Earns No. 15 Seed For NCAA Tournament, Draws Duke in First Round

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Binghamton University, the America East champion in men's basketball, has earned a No. 15 seed for its inaugural trip to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship and will face No. 2 Duke in the first round of the tournament on Thursday, March 19 in Greensboro, N.C. The entire 65-team field was announced Sunday evening on CBS, which will televise the Bearcat-Blue Devil matchup live on Thursday.

The Bearcats (23-8) earned America East's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 61-51 win over UMBC in the conference title game on Saturday. The Bearcats, who equaled a school record for wins in a season, have won 11 straight heading into their first-ever NCAA tournament.

The Blue Devils (28-6), the ninth-ranked team in the nation, won their ninth ACC title in 12 years with a win over Florida State earlier Sunday and have won eight of their last nine entering the tournament.
