CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
- Episode 3 of America East On Campus, the conference's half
hour magazine show that looks at what's happening around America East
on the playing field, in the classroom and in the community, will debut in the New England region on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. on
NESN. The show will also air in the Mid-Atlantic region on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m., directly following the UMBC-New Hampshire men's basketball contest, on MASN. On Campus can also be seen in New York's Capital Region Time Warner Cable.
The episode is set at Boston University, site of the 2009 America East Swimming & Diving and Indoor Track & Field Championships. Host Eric Frede sat down with longtime
men's basketball coach Dennis Wolff to discuss the Terrier program, which currently sits in first place in the America East standings. The show will feature Vermont's Marqus Blakely and Courtnay Pilypaitis, the first reigning Players of the Year to come from the same school in over 15 years. The show will also
feature Maine's Junior Bernal and his unique odyssey to Orono. The Best of U segment will look at Albany's Brian Connelly and his daily battle with Type 1 diabetes.
America
East On Campus is produced by Cod Rock Media of Kittery, Maine, which
is owned by Frede and Dan Hannigan. Five original episodes will be
produced and distributed during the 2009 season. NESN will debut all
five episodes, while several re-airings will also air on the network. MASN, located in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area and Time Warner 3 in New York's Capital Region will also carry
the show.
