CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- Three America East field hockey teams have been recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) with the Division I National Academic Team Award for having a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Fairfield University, University of Maine and University of Vermont were among 27 schools recognized by the association and represented half of the America East field hockey teams. All three were repeat selections for the award.
Nineteen Fairfield field hockey student-athletes earned America East Honor Roll recognition for the fall while 18 Vermont student-athletes and 15 Maine student-athletes were also honored on the Fall Honor Roll. More than half of those athletes earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll status.
