Every gameday throughout the 2009-10 season, America East will provide a men's basketball update that features notes on that day's matchups as well as recaps of the previous day's action. UMBC opens its season on Sunday, while Hartford and Vermont are also in action. On Saturday, Binghamton and New Hampshire posted victories in their season openers.

at Binghamton 54, Bloomsburg 49


Binghamton downed Bloomsburg in its season opener in front of 3,711 fans at the Events Center... Moussa Camara scored a game-high 16 points, while Greer Wright had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in his Binghamton debut.

at New Hampshire 91, Suffolk 42
Dane DiLiegro racked up a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead UNH to the win... Chandler Roades had 14 points in his Wildcat debut, while Alvin Abreu added 12 points and seven assists.

Hartford at Baylor, 2:30 p.m.
The Hawks and Bears meet for the second straight year in Waco... Genesis Maciel scored 13 points off the bench for Hartford in Baylor's 74-59 victory last year.

Morgan St. at UMBC, 3:30 p.m.
The Retrievers kick off their season at home against the reigning MEAC champion Bears, who are playing their second straight AE opponent (Albany)... UMBC's Chauncey Gilliam will be in uniform after becoming academically eligible last week.

Vermont at Buffalo, 5:30 p.m.
The Catamounts and Bulls meet in a rematch of last season's thrilling BracketBusters matcup on ESPN2... Marqus Blakely had 15 points, nine rebounds and five blocks to lead Vermont to a 78-70 win in that meeting.
