Maine and Stony Brook posted season-opening wins on Friday and two more teams open their seasons today.

The Black Bears outscored the Rams 20-8 in the first 10 minutes of the second half to win their season opener for the second straight year... Gerald McLemore had a game-high 26 points and Terrance Mitchell added 22 in his Maine debut.
Stony Brook 75, at Maryland-Eastern Shore 57
The Seawolves held the Shore Hawks to 35 percent shooting in a season opening win... Muhammad El-Amin had a game-high 26 points, while Bryan Dougher added 11, which all came in the first half.
at Iona 82, Boston U. 73
The Gaels made 12 three-pointers en route to a win in Patrick Chambers' debut as Terriers' coach... Tyler Morris scored a team-high 21 points in his return to the Boston U. lineup after getting injured last season... John Holland and Corey Lowe added 17 and 16, respectively.
Morgan State 69, at Albany 65
The Black Bears converted 20 Great Dane turnovers into to score 28 points en route to the win... Tim Ambrose had 21 points and Will Harris added 18 to lead Albany.
at Loyola (Md.) 79, Vermont 66
The Greyhounds held the Catamounts to 34 percent shooting in both team's season openers... Two-time America East Player of the Year Marqus Blakely picked up where he left off with 26 points, seven rebounds, five blocks and three steals.
Quinnipiac 86, Hartford 74 (Connecticut 6 Classic)
Four Bobcats scored in double figures in a 52 percent shooting performance... Joel Barkers tallied 23 points and seven boards in his Hartford debut to earn all-tournament honors.
Monday, November 9
at #25 Syracuse 75, Albany 43 (2K Sports Classic)
The Orange forced 31 Great Dane turnovers to earn coach Jim Boeheim his 800th career victory... Will Harris paced Albany with 14 points, all in the second half... Tim Ambrose added 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Bearcats open their season at the Events Center, where they are 21-8 over the last two seasons... The game is Mark Macon's debut as interim head coach.
Suffolk at New Hampshire, 7 p.m.
The Wildcats kick off their season against the Rams for the second straight year... UNH, picked fifth in the preseason poll, returns four starters from last year's squad that won 14 games and reached the semis of the America East Championship.
