CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- University at Albany remained undefeated with two more conference wins last weekend and garnered this week's America East Volleyball Player and Setter of the Week awards. Senior middle blocker Hillary White (Aberdeen, S.D./Aberdeen) earned the award for top player, while junior setter Brooke Stanley (Hendersonville, N.C./West Henderson) made it four in a row with this week's Setter of the Week award. Stony Brook freshman setter Corinne Perry(Northport, N.Y./Northport) rounded out the award-winners for the week ending October 25 with the nod for Rookie of the Week.

Senior middle blocker White averaged 3.12 kills, 1.38 digs, 0.75 blocks and a remarkable .535 hitting percentage in two wins over Binghamton over the weekend, keeping the Great Danes undefeated in league play. At home on Friday, White finished with 14 kills, eight digs and five total blocks, hitting .444 for the match. In Vestal on Sunday, White recorded a team-high 11 kills with three digs and one block assist, hitting .688. For the week, White totaled 25 kills on 43 attempts with just two attack errors. The senior, a two-time all-conference selection, is receiving her first career Player of the Week award.

Stanley led the Great Danes to two wins over Binghamton, averaging 11.25 assists, 3.62 digs and 0.75 kills, while also finishing with five service aces and four block assists. In Friday's win at home, the junior setter recorded a match-high 55 assists and a career-high 22 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. She also added five kills with a .455 hitting percentage, two service aces and four block assists. On Sunday in Vestal, Stanley totaled 35 assists and seven digs, along with three service aces and one kill. Stanley's quarterbacking of the Great Danes offense led Albany to a .301 team hitting percentage. This is Stanley's fourth straight Setter of the Week honor and fifth of the season.

Perry led the Seawolves to a series split with UMBC by dishing out a weekend-total 67 assists and adding 1.83 digs per set. Her 11.17 assists per set average ranked third in the conference last week, while Perry's 43 assists in the win Sunday afternoon set a new career high for a three-set match. She also recorded three digs, a kill and a block in that match. Friday night in Baltimore, Perry handed out 24 assists and had eight digs. The rookie helped the Seawolves to outhit the Retrievers .256-.232 on the weekend. This is Perry's second Rookie of the Week award this season.

UAlbany (16-8 overall record, 6-0 America East record) won its 11th and 12th straight matches with two victories over Binghamton on Friday and Sunday to remain the lone undefeated team in the conference... Sophomore middle blocker Casey Wright (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) led the team at the net with 10 total blocks, including four solo, and is averaging a team-best 1.06 blocks per set on the season... Libero Laurie Gonzalez (Carolina, Puerto Rico/St. Francis School) paced the team defensively with 5.88 digs per set over the weekend... The Great Danes will return to action with one match on Friday, hosting New Hampshire at 7 p.m... UAlbany will be celebrating the second annual Dig Pink event, to raise money and awareness for the Sideout Foundation in support of breast cancer research.

Binghamton
(11-11, 3-3 AE) dropped a pair of matches to fall to .500 in the America East and overall ... Binghamton lost 3-2 at Albany on Friday before being swept by the Great Danes on Sunday ... Binghamton has now lost eight straight matches to the Great Danes ... Junior hitter Michelle McDonough (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) led BU in kills this past week with a 4.25 average ... She also scooped 2.38 digs per set, good for second on the team ... McDonough also led the team in hitting percentage (.375) and moved into sixth place on Binghamton's Division I career kills chart ... Junior Anna Lejina (Riga, Latvia/Riga Secondary/Univ. of Latvia) and senior middle blocker Dawn Lammert (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead) were second on the team in kills, as each had 2.62 kills per set ... Freshman middle Alex Roland (Austin, Texas/Austin) led Binghamton in blocks last weekend, averaging 0.88 and had seven total over the two matches ... Junior setter Lindsey Mueller (West Bend, Wis./West Bend West) dished out 9.62 assists per set and was second on the team with a 0.50 blocking average ... Binghamton will travel to Colgate on Wednesday for a non-conference match before looking to get back on track in the America East when they host New Hampshire on Sunday.

The Hartford volleyball team (7-16, 0-5 AE) finished a one match week with a four-set win over Providence College in the first-ever Dig Pink match at the University of Hartford ... Together with the Friars and the support of fans of both programs, the Hawks raised more than $900 to donate to the Sideout Foundation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness ... Against the Friars, Hartford was led by senior Hallie Fullagar (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) who finished with 14 kills ... Senior Erin Macro (Lincoln, R.I./Lincoln) and sophomore Michelle Cordell (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater) each added 13 kills, while freshman Kami Nethersole (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) added 10 kills ... The Hawks also had four players finish with double-digit digs, three of which combined for double-doubles ... Leading the Hawks defensively was Cordell with 14 digs, while Maddison Molyneux (Caledon, Ontario/Mayfield Secondary) added 13 ... Also completing the double-double was Macro and Fullagar who finished with 11 and 10 digs, respectively ... Hartford finished the match hitting .216 with 59 kills and 26 errors in 153 total swings ... Hartford returns to conference play with a pair of road games at UMBC on Friday (7 p.m.) and at Stony Brook on Sunday (1 p.m.)

UMBC (12-9, 4-2 AE) split a pair of matches against Stony Brook this past week, with each team winning at home, 3-0... On Friday night, sophomore Iman Kennedy (Charlotte, N.C./Indpendence) hit .571 with nine kills against one error on only 14 swings... Freshman Naomi Bush (Fruitport, Mich./Fruitport) hit .375 with six kills and no errors as the Retrievers as a team hit .300 with only 11 errors... Sophomore Allie Spaay (Kenosha, Wisc./Kenosha Tremper) earned a double-double with 18 assists and 11 digs... On Sunday, senior Ashley Oscars (Bakersfield, Calif./Liberty) earned her team-leading seventh double-double of the year with 12 kills and 11 digs... Also on Sunday, sophomore Alyssa Lang, who hit nine kills, earned her 500th career kill in less than two full seasons at UMBC. The Retrievers return to action this Friday when they play host to Hartford at 7 p.m. at the RAC.

The University of New Hampshire  (9-13, 1-4 AE) was idle this week and returns to begin the second half of conference play with matches at Albany (Friday - 7 p.m.) and Binghamton (Sunday - 1 p.m.)... Just over a week ago, UNH earned its first conference win with a sweep of Hartford on Saturday afternoon at Lundholm Gymnasium... The story in Durham continues to be America East All-Conference honoree Kirsten Bates (Calgary, Alberta/Bishop Carroll) is now just 25 kills away from 1,000 for her career with 975 kills to date... With injuries and losses mounting, the Wildcats have seen impressive contributions from a handful of young players including Jessy Dick (Lethbridge, Alberta/Lethbridge Collegiate), who notched four kills and three service aces in the win over Hartford and Jessie Schnepp (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow), who had a career-high seven digs and six receptions to go along with two kills... She also hit at a .333 clip... New Hampshire returns to action Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. when they hit the road to take on the University at Albany.

Stony Brook (11-11, 3-3 AE) split its season series with UMBC as the two teams exchanged sweeps over the weekend... UMBC took the first match on Friday night (25-22, 25-20, 25-19)... Senior Lindsey Gordon led the Seawolves with 11 kills and a .647 attack percentage as she was errorless in 17 attacks... Junior Ashley Headen also recorded 11 kills in the match... SBU received double-digit kills from three players in its win over UMBC on Sunday... Senior Harmonie Calinda led the way with 16, while freshman Greta Strenger added 13 and Gordon recorded 10... Freshman Corinne Perry dished out 43 assists in the match, setting a career record for most assists in a three-set match... junior Jeanette Gibbs (15 digs) and Headen (six blocks) led a solid defensive effort for the Seawolves.
