VESTAL, N.Y. -- Binghamton will host Boston University in America East men's soccer action on Friday, a game that can be seen nationally on Fox Soccer Channel. The contest, which has been tabbed as the NSCAA College Game of the Week, will kick off at 8 p.m. from Bearcats' Sports Complex.
Dean Linke, radio
voice of the United Soccer League's Carolina RailHawks, will call the
action while Keith Tabatznik, former head coach at Georgetown, will provide the analysis.
Boston U. (7-4-2, 1-2-0 America East) is trying to snap a two-game losing skid after ascending to as high as No. 14 in the national rankings earlier this season. Binghamton (6-5-1, 1-1-0 America East) are unbeaten in five of their last seven contests but are coming off a 1-0 loss to Stony Brook last week. The Bearcats and Terriers, who have combined to
win four conference titles in six years, played for the championship
last November 15 and figure to be factors yet again in 2009. Boston U.
edged Binghamton 1-0 in that contest.
This
is the second straight year an America East contest has been chosen as
part of the national package. Last season, Boston U. edged Binghamton,
4-2, in women's action.
