Every gameday throughout the 2008-09 season, America East will provide a men's basketball update that features notes on that day's matchups as well as recaps of the previous day's action.

Thursday, January 8
Boston University at Albany, 7 p.m. (TW3)
The Terriers and Great Danes both look to snap losing streaks in a rematch of last year's thrilling America East Championship quarterfinal matchup... Boston U. won that contest in overtime 68-64... The game will be televised in the Capital Region on Time Warner Cable.

Maine at Stony Brook, 7 p.m.
These two squad had an epic meeting in the opening round of the 2008 America East Championship... Maine's Mark Socoby scored 31 points and hit a 3-point bank shot to force overtime, but the Seawolves held on 73-65 in the extra session.

Vermont at Binghamton, 7 p.m. (TW3)
In a rematch of last year's America East Championship semifinals, Vermont and Binghamton square off in Vestal... The Catamounts took all three meetings with the Bearcats last season, including a 65-57 triumph in that semifinal contest... UVM has won six straight in the series with Binghamton's last win coming February 26, 2006...
The game will be televised in the Southern Tier on Time Warner Cable.

Coming off its victory over Santa Clara Sunday, New Hampshire posted its second straight win in a low-scoring affair at Lundholm Gymnasium. The Wildcats, who have won back-to-back conference openers for the first time since the 93-94 and 94-95 seasons, were led by Tyrece Gibbs, who registered season-highs with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Dane DiLegro pulled down an America East season-high 17 rebounds for the Wildcats, who have now won two straight on the heels of a five-game losing skid. Michael Turner had a team-high 16, while Jaret von Rosenberg tallied 15 for the Hawks, who drop to 1-1 in league play.
