Every gameday throughout the 2008-09 season, America East will provide a women's basketball update that features notes on that day's matchups as well as recaps of the previous day's action.

Upcoming Action

Friday, January 2
New Hampshire at Xavier    7 p.m.

The Wildcats travel to Cincinnati to face the team head coach Kristin Cole assisted from 2002-07 before arriving at New Hampshire... Guard Abigail LaRosa leads all America East freshmen in assists, averaging 3.5 per game ranked fourth in the league.

Boston University at Massachusetts    7 p.m.
The Terriers defeated the Minutewomen last year at Case Gym, 72-60, and hope to do the same to snap a two-game losing streak... Boston U. has three players ranked in the top 10 of the America East scoring leaders, the only team in the league able to make that claim.

Maine at Holy Cross    7 p.m.
Maine fell to the Crusaders in last year's contest, 50-79... This is the Black Bears' final non-league game before getting the America East schedule started on January 6 at New Hampshire... Maine ranks in the top four in four different America East team defensive categories this year.
