Three Things I Can’t Live Without:
1. God 2. Family 3. Friends

Q. Why I Chose Stony Brook University:
A- I chose Stony Brook University because of its academic excellence. When I earn a degree from Stony Brook University, people around the world will know that I have a degree from a great institution. I hope to attend medical school after graduation and earning a Stony Brook degree will be held in high regard as I apply. Stony Brook is known for its sciences and the affiliation with the Medical School made it a perfect choice for me. Being able to play basketball at a school such as Stony Brook has been a great opportunity for me.

Q. Favorite class and why:
A- I loved my philosophy classes. They open my mind to new and greater possibilities as well as the explanation of life.

Q. One thing I have learned at Stony Brook that I will carry with me for the rest of my life is:
A- The one thing that I have learned while being a Stony Brook seawolf is that you should never give up! Whether it’s in the classroom, on the court, or in life, I have learned this important point that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Q. My Dream Job, other than the NBA/WNBA, is:
A- My dream job after college is to be a pediatrician.

Q. The person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on me is, and why:
A- The coaching staff are the people who have had the most influence on me other than my parents. They have pushed me both physically and mentally every day. They have strengthened my mental toughness more than I thought it could go and continue to do so each and every day.

Q. The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is:
A- The best thing about being a Stony Brook Seawolf is the camaraderie. All of the student-athletes are like my family away from home and we each have a bond that we share, a similar experience that each of us goes through. It doesn’t matter that we all play different sports, we’re all Seawolves.

Q. Most memorable moment as an athlete:
A-My most memorable moment as an athlete was my first day of college practice. I thought I was going to die because we worked so hard but I made it through Now I look back and I’ve worked so much harder than I did that day, but at that moment I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish the workout.

Q. What I did this week as a student (classes, tests, projects, study hall):
A-We do not start classes again for the spring semester until January 26 so I am using the winter break to study for my MCAT entrance test for medical school. I’ve been taking practice tests and studying each day for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and also doing some verbal questions.

Q. What I did this week as an athlete (practice, games):
A- We’ve had a tough week in terms of athletics. We had a stretch of 5 away games and played really well, beating Air Force and the reigning America East Champions UMBC in their gyms. We finally had a home game on Thursday but lost to Maine. These last few days we’ve had practice and lifted, and watched a lot of film from our Maine game and also in preparation for our game against Dartmouth tomorrow.

Q. Based upon my experiences growing up, my advice for young kids about school and athletics is:
A- My advice to young kids about school and athletics is to grab each opportunity with both hands, cultivate it, and make the best of it because each day is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Q. Why I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship:
A- I am looking forward to the America East Basketball Championship because it is another chance to reach our goal of going to the NCAA tournament for the first time in Stony Brook history.
