CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- Boston University women's track & field head coach Robyne Johnson was named the Northeast women's head coach of the year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) late Monday afternoon, June 9.
Johnson’s
Terriers won the America East Conference women’s title and qualified three
women for the NCAA Championships: Tahari James (triple jump), Marisa Ryan
(10,000 meters) and Andrea Walkonen (10,000). Johnson is in her third season as
director of track and field and cross country at Boston University.
At the 2008 America East Outdoor Championship, Johnson and her staff earned the women's coaching staff of the year honors. Earlier in the year, the Terriers also captured the indoor crown and the coaching honor.
