ECAC Awards Weekly Honors to Baseball's Witkowski and Softball's Jacobs, Hebert

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-- The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) named three America East baseball and softball players winners of the league's weekly awards. Stony Brook's Brian Witkowski (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Boston University's Rachel Hebert (Humble, Tex.) were named the Division I baseball and softball players of the week, respectively, while Stony Brook's Casey Jacobs (Davie, Fla.) took home the softball co-pitcher of the week for the period ending April 27.

Witkowski, an outfielder, put together a solid week for the Seawolves, hitting .500 with a slugging percentage of 1.100. The junior also recorded
10 runs scored, eight RBI, three doubles, and three homeruns. He was also named the America East Player of the Week on Monday.

Hebert batted .462, knocking in nine runs and scoring six times in five games played for the Terriers. The sophomore connected
for a double and a homerun, and stole a base. At first base Hebert did not make an error in 26 chances, registering 23 putouts. Hebert was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday.

Jacobs picked up a win and a save on the week, posting a 0.00 ERA. The sophomore struck out 14 batters in 13.2 innings pitched,
while allowing two walks. Jacobs earned the America East Pitcher of the Week on Monday, and currently leads the conference in ERA with a 1.27 mark.
